and so there will be no games. so be it people can believe what they want to believe. that's part of the problem
The guy went around his car, and the cops made no serious effort to grab him until he headed in to his car. And of course you just had to use the most extreme video example...
"But but, look at what these two black guys had to say, you see, I am right about this because I managed to find a video where 2 colored people are agreeing with me." So dumb.
It draws major attention to the issue, for one thing. NBA players are using their platform and celebrity status to speak out against racial injustice and the use of excessive force by police officers towards African Americans. This day in the NBA will be remembered for years to come, and, at some point, a documentary will be made about it.
Because you want to play the race card in the first place, so I"m just showing you a quick example that immediately contradicts it. Not even to mention that everything they say is absolute facts.
they had guns pointed at him... the guy decided it was best to not stop moving? Also, maintaining distance with your gun drawn is protocol but I won’t get in to that. Stop defending this. I showed videos of what happens when you let criminals grab items out of a car. If you want to defend a sexual predator who put his own kids at risk, be my guest. If he was any other race we wouldn’t be talking about this right now...
What race card did I play, dummy? I said I am not the one suffering, I have no say in this although I do support the players who feel they want to stand up for the cause. Hell, if I would search for a Hitler loving jew I'd probably be able to find one, that does not neglect the feelings of the majority of all jews regarding the disgusting nazi leader. You are just not making any sense and just look how desperate you are to be right about racism that does not effect you. Sad.
There was nothing strange or exceptional about his case. And certainly nothing racist about it. It is the law of the state. The same law like in most countries in the world. In fact for 1 black child there are 99 white children like that right now. In his neighbourhood where he grew up, most were also white illegal immigrants without citizenship. Thats why it is imperative that if he wants to make any change to keep his citizenship so the other hundreds of thousands of children will see any change in their lifetime. But to be granted just being born will be an outright national and financial disaster that will never happen. Imagine that. There will be millions of illegals coming in to give birth just so their children can get a EU citizenship and free access .You should at least stay in the state for many years. It is hard to understand since Sweden has nice borders while we are just a few kilometres away from 3rd world countries and already receiving most illegal immigrants in the continent.
LOL at all you idiots who thinks Stern could have done anything different. It is a different era, athletes rightfully have more power than ever and no commissioner would be able to change that. These star athletes are the most powerful black people in this country and any change to policy will have to start with them. I commend them for sacrificing their earnings for change, they are basically “putting their money where their mouth is.”
But it would be considered common sense in most the rest of the world. And the same illegal children are given free healthcare and free college education.
Insults right off the bat, nice! Wasn't addressing anyone specific when posting said video, but if you felt the need to respond to it thinking it was for you, then it probably was.
Then don't call it "boycott." Boycott by definition is to hurt an entity because of its wrongdoing by refraining to do business with it. Sitting out clearly hurt the league, which I am sure is not the target of their protest. This is more like "raising awareness," similar to the kneeling gesture, or the words on their jerseys, etc. I am not saying it is wrong. It's just strange calling it boycott when the target of boycott is not really the bad guy.
This is why when Americans use European nations as examples to argue politics in the US, it's very frustrating to me. I'd agree this is common sense. But people apparently have no idea how the world works.
No, this is just more evidence that many fans think NBA players should shut up and dribble instead of taking a stand against a social issue that is far bigger than basketball and affects people of their skin color because there won’t be any basketball on TV tonight. Whether the players boycotted these games, wrote BLM messages on their sneakers, etc., the NBA would lose some fans that think the league should not involve itself in political topics. In fact, the league has probably already lost many of those fans because of the BLM messages on jerseys and having Black Lives Matter written on the court in the bubble. Because the league made the decision to back their players and postpone these games, the league and its sponsors will still get the revenue expected for these games, but it’s coming a few days later than initially expected. However, if the season ends up being cancelled over this, then, yes, the players are ultimately hurting their employer that had their back concerning this social justice issue. That said, I believe the league needed to play 70 games to fulfill its TV contracts, and they have already accomplished that.
Haha, wow, imagine being this needy to defend the discrimination Giannis and his family suffered in Greece. The same place where his brother was called a monkey by a freaking tv commentator. The same country who did consider him to be greek until he became an amazing basketball player. A country who gave him and his family the citizenship so he wouldn't choose Nigeria national basketball team over the Greek one. And now the kid who never lived in Greece as a greek citizen suddenly is the "Greek Freak.". Pathetic. Sweden did take in more iraqi immigrant during the USA-Iraq then USA themselves, Sweden took in more syrian refugees than any other country based on percentage just some years ago. At the same time in Greece you have the Golden Dawn nazi-party who got plenty of sympathy from conservative greeks. Don't place the immigrant card, I love Greece but you got some conservative crap you got to take care of.
