Looked like it was driving almost due north then some westerly drift seemed to appear wasn't sure if it was an optical illusion.
I swear north 99 is cursed for the past 3 months every storm on this side of town swarms all around us and we get no rain. No problem in the winter though when we don’t need it.
Man, if this is a serious post, I would GTF out of there, like, in the next 5 minutes. Stay safe either way.
Refinery finally shut down so I went to relatives house near here. We have a standby generator if the lights go off and plenty of food. Hopefully all will be well but it's too late to leave now.
I am really worried about Lake Charles and the surrounding area. NHC upped their surge forecast from 30 miles inland to 40 miles inland. Just imagine that. 40 miles of surge? There were reports on Jeff's periscope of storm chasers stuck along the coast. I sure hope they got out. Anyone and anything along the coast of Louisiana is a goner. Here is a live stream of some experienced storm chasers in Lake Charles right now. I just tuned in and they said they are headed to the Golden Nugget.
uhhh, is this thing going to hit as a Cat5 now? Already at 145mph... and NHC just updated their surge to 40m inland! yike
