I understand there are things much bigger than basketball. I applaud them for standing up for something very important. I'm just disappointed because I love watching them play. It's been a good distraction from the stresses of life in 2020.
Going to be really interesting going forward. If the cops are charged, will the players go back or is this the beginning of the end of the bubble?
no changes. no reason for the players to start playing again. The rest of the NBA playoffs are in serious doubt at this point
If I had to guess it's just a one-game protest. That said, if one of the teams decide to sit out longer, that will kind of force all the other teams to follow suit. But I doubt that will happen.
Pretty sad they needed Russ for this series. Without Russ they should have been up 3-1 at the very least
Good for the Rockets and the other teams that decide to boycott. I seriously don't know how they comeback to play though.
The players are black and live in America. What happens in Hong Kong is not nearly as relatable to them.
No hard feelings yet the NBA should figure it out soon and have an exit plan. People getting killed more and more, are they boycotting every time there is breaking news or are they just ending this for now, for good... Remains to be seen.. I would ban weapon usage for the entire year if I could, even for the police.
Can’t expect players to perform at an optimal level if they’re not even mentally there. Just ask Paul George.
I love watching the Rockets play too, but I'm not going to lie and say these guys didn't add more anxiety to my routine, lol.
