Of course. I just hate the fact almost all of you criticize great player that T-Mac was. Why excuses for Harden must end with T-Mac critique? Compare him to Dream if you want comparsions
a note on the team's harden faces as well. starting with golden state in the 2015 wcf, harden's previous 9 series included: 4x against golden state's elite defense (#1 one year, extremely good when they actually tried in the playoffs the last 2 years) utah's #2 defense last year utah's #2 defense the previous year san antonio's #1 defense in 2017 okc in 2017 at #10 (i think that's right) was considered an easy series. only minnesota was a bad defense (and harden was strangely bad in that series).
I would love to add some shooters to the team. Who do you have in mind? I remember how much I loved Delfino and Courtney Lee, but I can't even think of any 3 point specialists who would float around on the FA market.
Ow 100% agreed. MDA might be as big of a problem as Harden. Losing in the 1st round would have 1 potential positive: MDA let go. It's just insane our best 3pt shooter in McLemore has been relegated to end of the bench guy while Rivers continues to suck life out of the game. McLemore should take more threes than Gordon, that's for sure. Harden needs to take those mid-range shots as well. Green pick and roll, another one I totally agree with. They cannot stop it. Hate how dumb we are playing, it's almost Denver bad. That's on our best player and coach.
How unfortunate the team never needed Harden until the western conference finals against one of the greatest teams of all time. Rocket River. Only elimination games count I guess.
Bolded is important to realise, though he's playing defense now, but he's still a guy who doesn't hold himself to the highest standard yet continues to yell at guys for every single mistake they make. Guys will listen to Westbrook I'm sure, but Harden, not so much. He's indeed not a leader like McHale says.
Cp3 is considered a great leader Yet never went as far in the playoffs as Harden. Harden had to drag him to the western conference finals. He had more talented teammates than Harden and still failed. So much for leadership. Rocket River.
jordan and lebron would be similar. and not coincidentally, they didn't win at those points in time, either. i'm sure morey would like that, but shooters cost money. at least shooters who can play D cost money. the tucker's and house's and ariza's of the world are the best shooting you're going to get with that level of defense without spending 15-20M/yr. if harden and westbrook take up 80M, this is what you get. and it doesn't work nearly as well if 40 of that 80M is on the bench in street clothes. if we could ever have a healthy (2018/2020) or not-falling-off (2019) $40M point guard in the playoffs, that would amazing to see. i mean look at the mavs. plenty of professional shooters around luka. and just gave up a smooth 154 to playoff P. so it cuts both ways. maybe more O and less D would work for us with how many open shots we produce. maybe we can outscore people easier than we can defend and then hope to hit shots.
Agreed, but even the first championship with Dream had a sick cast of role players. I get it's beyond frustrating to watch Harden running out of gas and ****ing up in the fourth, but people need to have perspective.
you think westbrook's out there playing great D? in okc the guy barely could barely even be bothered to get near his man on the perimeter while he waited to collect the defensive rebound. he's the last guy to tell other's to play defense. and he's at dwade levels of not getting back after his own turnover. i like the attack the paint version of westbrook, but pretending mr. first round is the ultimate "lead by example" guy, nah.
Harden does not have a great supporting cast? Stop underselling these guys! Tucker, House, RoCo, Rivers, Green, Mac, even Carrol are all solid players and a few elite at defense while others solid enough with a great 3pt shot to compensate.
Underselling role players? How about you stop underselling Harden and his ability to elevate role players like no one else in the league.
So let’s hope they finally produce all these so called great role players. Let’s see if they stop missing big shots in the fourth quarter. You know it’s not like they haven’t been stinking up? Ohh wait
the warriors were durants team, the needed him to beat lebron, thats why durant is a 2x finals mvp and curry has ZERO finals mvps
No you are the clown who started the tmac and harden comparison jackass. The fact is tmac never got of the first round. Yes the first round so shut the hell up. All these termites come out of woodwork when we lose a game to troll
If the Rockets lose the series then get ready for the continual narratives that will never die. Game 4 will be another major staple in the tent that will hold down Harden's with the Rockets' legacy. At this point though I'm tired of b****ing about the media and narratives and instead just interested in Harden taking this personally to just do whatever it takes to win so we can rid ourselves of this nonsense. If the Rockets lose this series though get ready because Harden and frankly the Rockets will be dealing with this stink for who knows how long.
U need to stop overselling them. The Rockets have a +6.4 net rating in this series with Harden on the court. Off the court, it drops to -1.9...
