harden still a lazy choker in crucial moments
Give me mclemore all day with his shooting. No way we get 3-21 with his shooting his defense doesn’t matter when the other team scoring at will.

When we watch it live, and we see Harden and others making unforced errors, we tend to blame the mistakes and omissions on the players. However, ultimately the blame should be mostly lay upon MDA for playing his starters too many minutes. For small ball to be really successful, you cannot have a 6 1/2 man rotation. Players will be dead tired by the 4th quarter, resulting in mistakes and missed shots, especially 3s. As good as MDA is, he only trusts a few players, and he will overuse them.

Read Shawn Marion's recent writing regarding the physical stress imposed by small ball. Even the Worriers only deploy their death lineup in portions of the game. My opinion is that if one wants to utilize it full time, you better expand the rotation to a minimum of 8, preferably 9 players. Harden should never be asked to play 43 minutes. It's just too much for his body to handle the load.

 

Rockets fans have been using excuses for the team's postseason flame-outs since forever. Won't be anything new.

 

lol harden is not some helpless victim if he thinks he cant play 43 efficient minutes he should refuse and fire the coach or fire gm that cant hire playable players
