    Seriously. How many people who watch Fox News clips hate Fox News? A lot of people like seeing bad stuff for comedy or outrage purposes hence why we have reality television.

    Ratings for these events hardly matter in my opinion.

    Trump is going to get a bump from the convention, there is no question about it. Having said that, day one of the convention was not positive because the weird factor was way too high. I think they will reign it in some today.

    This is going to be a close election.

    Sad thing it is reminscient of Obama always claiming he was powerless since he did not have complete control of both houses and he blamed the people for not pushing him to be more progressive.

    This is the first time for a long time for me to vote during the president election. Just think we could be better, but it is getting worse. It is quite embarrassing for the world when we keep saying USA is the no 1.

    A lot of this is just the YouTube algorithm. CSPAN was the first or second search result for "RNC Convention" yesterday so naturally it'll gain the bulk of the views. I believe for the DNC Convention, the top results were MSNBC, CNN and the DNC's own stream.

    The big thing is to figure out how to aggregate views across various streaming sites, social media streams and television. Until someone actually creates a comprehensive view of both conventions total viewership, I don't think it matters that more viewers chose to watch the RNC convention using CSPAN as opposed to other networks.

    That comparison is not fair or accurate at all. There is no comparison to EXECUTIVE action that Obama took vs Trump executive action. Legislation and executive action are two totally different things.

    The biggest complaint against Obama was that he went too far in executive action. Not that his executive action was not at least temporarily affective.

    Obama was not a perfect president but equating him to Trump is straight up ridiculous. In terms of legislation Obama had every right to complain about Congress doing nothing just for political reasons to hurt Obama. What he could do legally with executive power was still temporarily affective. DACA, Climate policy, Pandemic response team, etc. etc.

    FYI the one issue that Obama complained about the most was gun legislation which he was powerless to do anything about because of the supreme court and the flood of gun lobby money that went into the court system to stop any executive orders. It’s absolutely insulting to us that care about stopping mass shootings that you’d compare Obama’s cry for help in this area to move public opinion to move Congress to ANY of Trumps ridiculous EO’s.

    Come on man.

    How is the strategy identical?

    Are they ignoring Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan?

    The polls are not actually tightening but hey anything to take a shot at the DNC right?

    You ever hear of hate watching or just liking the spectacle of it all?

    Those viewership numbers mean nothing its the same reason Fox news leads most rating numbers a captive audience.
