Portland is a much different situation than Minneapolis. Portland has been the epicenter of repeated alt-right events over a couple of years organized by outside hate groups like Patriot's Prayer and the Proud Boys.

Yes there has been a long history of unrest in Portland. That said I don't think Portand is a war zone, parts of it are bad but it's not as though this is 1942 Stalingrad. I don't know this for a fact but my guess is that there are citizens there who are protecting their city like people did here in Minneapolis.
Actually, people who have knowledge of video production and have seen work by the likes of certain conservatives, we know that they absolutely can lie.
And that is the heart of the problem. Agendas absolutely do drive what content people want us to believe and liberals are not immune from agenda.
A former coworker of mine is moving out of LA for work a few weeks ago. While he was loading up his car, a bunch of rioters came up (they had been "protesting" a couple streets over) and started taking stuff out of his car. When he tried to run them off, one of them said "I'll rape your wife and make you watch". He called the police and they said "sorry, we've been told not to respond to that area, but we can take a report." Luckily enough the door man of his building came up (apparently a guy built similarly to the Rock) and ran them off, but it really scared him. They got out of there the next day. About a week later they hear from one of their former neighbors that there were two knife-point rapes in the parking garage of their former building. The police DID respond to those. One of the detectives basically said, if you're white in this area, you should move, we're not allowed to protect anyone in this area.
@rocketsjudoka People here tend to forget that you were on the ground when your city of Minneapolis got destroyed. But I definitely take that as a better perspective than the ONE DIRECTION (partisan posters) here. We tend to forget about the Clutchfans, especially in this stupid part of the forum. It's all now about ESPN, CNN, FOX, TWITTER etc. But I know it's about getting news from the real people when 99er Rockhead talked to Hakeem at Whole Foods and Dream told him he's going to Toronto.
