This OP poster is a proclaimed Tmac fanatic
Just look up his old threads

it must be shocking to see a real mvp lead the rockets far in the playoffs

also the regular season success doesn’t translate to playoff success all the time

    any Tmac fan knows that

He just seemed too small to do anything on the court effectively. Looked like a kid vs grown up men when he brought the ball in and House or Rivers guarded him. Maybe it wasn't a big deal when he was younger but it is now, he still needs his quickness and agility to do anything besides hit open 3 pt shots so everybody who was saying his game doesn't need athleticism is just dead wrong.

Meh , CP3 is still washed up.

They win one game in overtime where Harden fouled out , Westbrook didn't play , EG , Rivers & McLemore combined for 2/16 from 3 and needed a meltdown from House at the line to give them a chance.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while ...

For those saying cp3's first step is worse than last year, either you forget just how slow he was last year or you haven't been watching him during this year besides a few highlights of our defense on him in games 1-2. His first step is noticeably better than how slow he was last year and it was very obvious during the regular season. It's not as good as when he first came to the rockets but even in this series, he's gotten by guys this year far more than you'd expect.

Even today, he double crossed to blow by covington, and more than a few times he's shifted guys like house and rivers, even tucker (blow bys on harden were more cuz of harden's foul trouble or matador d). That all may not sound like much, but last year he couldn't get by ANYBODY. Even the opposing team's backup centers.

it helps that he's suddenly draining mid-rangers like it was 2016 or something. i don't think he made 3 in a row for us all season last year. we trade for iron man russell westbrook because cp3 gets hurt all the time and just had 11 straight games of looking washed in the playoffs (extended the streak to 13 in games 1 and 2), and so we get to the playoffs and cp3 is healthy with an improved first step and westbrook is hurt. sounds about right for houston sports with injuries.

Yeah, his midrange during his 2 years with us def took a step back, especially last year, as he opted into more iso sidestep 3s. Thankfully it was his midrange that shut down the jazz in 2017-2018. He tends to thrive against teams with traditional bigs for that reason. Gobert never looked more useless.

But yes, as a HUGE cp3 fan I was never more frustrated with him than last year's playoffs. He was all kinds of bad for his standards. So as much as this year is about proving to people he wasn't washed, I think he had to and admitted he came into the OKC training camp to do just that to his own teammates who may have had that perception.

Heh, I almost had ptsd watching his game 2 performance. Looked EXACTLY like all his playoff games last year. But these last 2 games, and specifically today's 3rd quarter, he looked very spry and dare I say, quick.

CP3 has adapted his game this series, and most importantly so have SGA and Schroder.

The Rockets were ****ed the moment we gave CP3 that contract.
