Why would it be great? He has a lifetime 2.5 WAR in over 1000 plate appearances. Myles Straw has a lifetime WAR of 1.0 in less than 200 plate appearances.
I will know all is well in the world if Click is able to pair Strom with Luis Castillo. Would be a blockbuster deal and I could only imagine how much we’d have to give up, but I think we may have the depth to pull it off.
The talk in the off-season was a Castillo-Correa swap. If the asking price is even remotely that high, it’s too much. I’d be fine with trading away one of Javier/Bielak along with a couple other prospects, but that’s it. Castillo struggling this season may have affected his value
I’d trade Bielak and Toro for Castillo. I think that’s a fair package. If the Reds aren’t selling this season, try again in the offseason.
Hunter has been absolutely terrible this season. I’d probably still consider adding him, but he’s looked really bad so far. I don’t know if he has much of anything left or not.
I think its getting close to maybe selling some guys for the future of this team. I mean there's what 7more days. Sure we got Angels next but dang they aren't that bad of a team especially since they have Trout back. Js might wanna brace for it. We have alot of injurys and we could plan for them to come back.
Trout has been phenomenal even by his standards since coming back from paternity leave. Rendon has woken up too. Could easily be a trap series, just saying. Not the same Astros or Angels teams that faced at the start of the month. We should still win at least 2 games, if not 3 or all 4, but it cannot be taken lightly. What does help is, their best starter (Bundy) pitched today so we won't see him. Their bullpen has also been pretty bad. But the injury bug has really hurt us.
Better players for there team overall. They get a stud young Ss and a up and coming SP. Yes up and coming . He has one bad game get passed that. Senzel is barely back from injury and Castello is iffy at the moment. Reds are in a good division to easily come up in and make the playoffs
They'd get Correa for one full season. Do you really think Correa will sign with the Reds after 2021? I can't imagine the Reds would be confident in that happening. Where did I say anything negative about Bielak?
Heard a crazy rumor. Yankees may have contacted the Astros about George Springer.... Clint Frazier could have been dangled and Clarke Schmidt. I dont think its true but if it was I really think the Astros should atleast think about it.
I said before you do. And Yes I think the Reds could offer him that. They wanna win so bad in Cincinnati, I honestly believe they would over pay him.
And before anythng is said about this, Stanton may not be the player they thought he was with his injurys.
