probably under chris paul's direction, he's been instructed to take the same approach guys like marcus smart, wesley matthews, and dillon brooks have utilized the past couple seasons: stick to harden like glue and bank on 2 things... 1) most refs are going to get tired of blowing the whistle and ignore at least half the handchecks, nudges, trips, knees, elbows, etc and 2) certain refs like malloy are going to ignore all of them

Why won’t he post up and use dort’s aggressiveness against himself? It’s a rookie, you school him in multiple ways instead of spamming the same move up top to prove a point. Mike DanToni needs to do his job. James is our best mid range shooter but he refuses to shoot the open shot even if it’s to ice the game. James needs to be a savvy vet and take this rookie to the post, draw some fouls and get him out the game for your team’s sake. That’s how you teach him a lesson. But James’ ego might be getting the best of him again.

Unfortunately, Harden is not hot from 3 point range, That would make a big difference.

Great defender. And I get he's doing a lot of this solo, which is impressive. BUT. It's not THAT hard to contain a player when the team's 3rd best offensive player is... Jeff Green? Lulz.

Let's see what happens when/if Russ play before crowning the guy.

    IT comes down to officiating.
Depends on how physical the Refs allow the defender to be
They giving Dort alot of respect and leeway IMO

these harden haters are cancer, we gotta come together to get rid of them. you try and critisize curry, or lillard on warriorsworld and balzersedge you get auto banned. we need to apply that same mindset here. Give dort whatever little praise he needs and lets keep it moving. The harden hate after a loss is insane, and totally undeserving. Most of the "fans" here are no different than the media and other haters of all things morey and harden. How does clutch allow this garabge to be spewed on his website

The refs limited the Rocket's aggression with quick whistles.
I will see how they Ref the Celtics today . . .
I thought the fouls on Tatum were ticky tack the other day
philly got a ton of free throws . . (they got some illegal picks calls I never seen though)
Philly was just too limited and celtics had more prolific scorers

seems the same game plan was used on us .. . .but we could not over come
esp the atrociousness in the last minutes

Dort playing good D on Harden, I think Harden just have heavy legs playing D plus the load he has to carry without russ.. This is shots he typically makes.

I predict this thread will look very foolish after this series is over. Dort barely guards Harden. I guarantee you that if Dort took Harden all game that he'll get tired and eventually Harden will cook him.

Harden is about to rock dort for 50 and those numbers will average out. This is just motivational fodder for our Jordan.

He was injured in the first game, so 2 straight games.

The one where Harden is still continually dropping points on OKC's head. Those people claiming Dort is "locking" him up have no clue what they're talking about. Getting a couple of stops on a guy isn't locking him up, it's playing good defense for a few plays. And those 3pt shots Harden's missing would normally go in. It's not because of Dort's "lockdown" defense.... it's because Harden just misjudged a few of his shots... or because he isn't getting the luck of the drop. If Harden shot 5/13 from 3pt line yesterday, nothing would have got said about Dort "locking" him up.

Most of the time Dort isn't even guarding Harden. You know why that is.... OKC know if they put Dort on Harden all game, he'll eventually get tired. We all know Harden is a strong guy and that he forces you to use a lot of energy to stop him. Dort would get tired after 10 minutes of continually guarding Harden.

I fully expect these typical haters to go back into hiding when Harden drops another 35 to 40 points, especially if he shoots the 3pt well and we win. These types of threads only get made when we lose.

No way blazers edge or warriorsworld would let posters praise a player on the opposing team in a playoff series for defending their best player. Especially when the game 3 box score for harden wasn’t bad at all. I’ll take that game by harden everytime for the remainder of this series minus the fouls

He is thick. But if Harden let a rookie check him like that, he cannot be the best ever scorer. So I am confident he is going to rip a new one on that kid.

Remember how Kobe did to whoever self-proclaimed kobe stopper. It happened even to Kobe, but the great ones can always figure those guys out.

Dort was better than Shoreder guarding Harden, but Harden still scored on him many times.

Rip to Kobe, but you act like tony Allen on those Celtics teams never gave Kobe a tough time
