My gripe is that other teams will do the same, let the Rockets chuck and put WB and Harden in foul trouble and force Rivers, Gordon and Green to handle the ball solely and hope they fail.

Might not be CP3 topic, my bad.

Chris Paul being Chris Paul; I don't want him suspended.

I loved when he was doing that **** for Houston. :D

He punched him in the nuts because he wants to win? Is it really "obvious" to you that such a play would improve his team's chances of winning, and not increase the chances of him being called for the violation and, possibly, getting ejected? Or do you think Chris Paul is just too stupid to understand the risk/reward of such a play at that juncture of the game?

LMAO, Chris Paul has done it before to many other players, maybe he does think he can get away with it, maybe he doesnt. The point is that play needs to be reviewed by the league and so does Chris Paul, because he's done it many times before. I like your impartialness man but you FLAT OUT WRONG in this case. Stop it.

Kidding aside, he should get a fine or a tech for next game.

    HA!

    You're wrong, @durvasa. Definitely intentional.

There was absolutely no reason for him to swing his fist in that direction unless he was trying to whack some testes.

I like smart, crafty players who also play physical basketball. So to the extent Draymond fits in that mold, yeah. Ginobili is another player I like a lot.

Though I don't like it so much when players play way out of control and are unable to channel their emotions towards making smart plays. In this case, purposely going after a players nuts would fall in that category. I'm not convinced it's the sort of thing Chris Paul would do in this situation. Maybe if his team was getting blown out, or if there was some beef between him and the Rocket player. But that wasn't the case.

Suppose you're right, and I'm wrong. Fine. The question remains -- why?

    we can win without russ

refs have to put covington and harden in foul trouble to give teams a shot againist. If Harden had 3 fouls going into that ot we win period

So, some lizard brain urge kicks in where he wants to inflict pain on his opponent due to his competitive nature, with no obvious benefit to be gained basketball-wise and with a clear negative effect on his relationship with other players among whom he has assumed a leadership role?

OK, well that's an interesting, if not totally convincing, answer, I guess.

Because he's a f$#king scorpion. He stings regardless of the situation. It's in his DNA.

Seriously, he's a pesty little guy with a history of doing whatever it takes to win: flop, punch, kick, whatever. That's who he's always been, even with the Rockets.

It's just slightly more palatable when he's wearing your team's colors.

What annoys me is that people say Harden bends the rules, but guys like this (and Draymond, another constantly dirty player) get away with it time after time.

    Ah the frog story, nice.

I think it's a cheap shot. Chris Paul is no saint, he does it.

He is still a nice person as the players president.

    "Incidental"

Seriously, if his intention is to drive past Benny Mac or create space, that move is a thing of beauty.

The problem is it's a FLAGRANT FOUL and should've been called as such.
