Absolutely deserves COTY. Not sure if him or Carlisle is the best coach in the NBA. Ujiri is def the best GM in the NBA though, also nailed the last draft getting Davis unfreaking drafted. It's a good thing nobody wanted to play in Canada rest of the NBA would be screwed if the Raps played in a glamor city.

It is, but it's in Canada. Name a recent top tier player who, in free agency, decided to sign with the Raptors. I feel like every big name who's ever graced a Raptors uniform (McGrady, Carter, Bosh, Derozan, Kawhi, Lowry) were all either drafted by the team or traded there.
Agreed with this. Not only did his Finals MVP dip out, but this team looks somehow just as good (if not better) than last year's team. Honestly, I think Toronto is Finals bound again, even though Giannis wants to play party pooper.
I think they just do not want to travel to Canada and up north. The city wasn't hyped among players for sure. And they just started to build a championship culture right now. Kudos to Nick Nurse. Before that they were known as Air Canada's team, CB's team 2nd round exits, and Lebron's b****.
Agreed. Pretty crazy how the franchise has had 3 CotYs in the past 13 years (Mitchell, Casey, Nurse) and let two of them go. I think Nurse has "Popovich" potential, in that he has the ability to be in this franchise for a long, long time.
