maybe. maybe not. as the Axios piece observes:

"Why it matters: By these measures, the most effective messenger in the Democratic Party is not even a politician."

That has nothing to do with Michelle's high rating being of service to the candidate that she supports. It's especially true given that the subject matter of her highly rated speech that has garnered so much attention was in fact Biden's candidacy for the office of President. Biden's team hoped that she would garner support and attention in national media, the internet, and social media. They were successful.

Trying to argue that isn't a benefit for them is laughable.

There are these things called "endorsements" where a politician is endorsed by someone else so their popularity benefits them.

Serious question.. who do you see as the most effective messenger in the Republican party? It could be argued that it is Trump because his base eats it up, but aside from him?

that's a good question. I really don't know. I haven't followed the Republican party all that much. but Republicans that jump out at me are people like Liz Cheney, Ben Sasse, and Dan Crenshaw. Maybe Nikki Haley. Are they the most effective "messengers"? I have no idea.

I didn't like Biden or Barack's speeches because I was reminded of all the wasted opportunities. Michelle's speech was a crystallization of the last 3.5 years and putting us to task to what happens now.

I do admit that Biden coming out frothing like a Bernie or AOC would be catnip for someone who wants to pack courts and bulldoze the filibuster, but likely a net negative for winning new votes.

The BLM leaders are probably mostly correct. However, I believe because there is a general will now that hasn't been there before some steps in the right direction will be taken.

However, what isn't lip service is the Democratic commitment to appointing a competent and knowledgeable Department of Education. Investing in education and schools, working to improve community services and opportunities for communities in more economically challenged areas. All of that is a huge contrast with what the opposition offers and will greatly help.

Pence was probably the most effective at telling evangelists to vote for trump. “It’s time to come home”. I thought that was a very effective message in 2016. It has the connotation that yes, trump’s actions and character are non-Christian like, but he’s now part of our home. Time to come back and be part of our team.
