I'm reading a great book right now called Devotion, by Adam Makos. During a conversation with his father while on leave a pilot's dad asked him about whether he had considered a transfer instead of going to war. His son said, "But none of the other fellows are backing out. We all figure it's dangerous if we let the North Koreans take the South. What message would that send the Soviets? If we don't take a stand, in a few years we'll be fighting for America's survival." Interestingly enough, those words struck me with how I feel about our country right now. We need to stand up to Trump and the GOP and vote them all out, before they destroy our country and our democracy to a point that we don't even recognize it anymore. I feel like that's already happening, and the thought of another 4 years of Trump is frightening. Please get out and vote!!! We can do better! Americans deserve better.
