That was 1 of the most devastating adds I have seen, they could have toned down the negative pics of trump because the words themselves were the effective part.

It's amazing that a man who said he never met the woman is so scared to prove her wrong.

In his defense - I don’t believe Trump knows what DNA is.

Of course, they will stall and drag this out until after the election... but trump's post election plans may get even more interesting.

For a guy who notoriously doesn't practice safe sex he's given away a lot of DNA...

Oh, you know some trump defender will try to point out "well, technically... she is correct. Its a republic, or a democratic republic. So there!". But everyone knows the point made at the convention and the danger trump's attack on American institutions such as voting and respecting the results of the November election will have.

For some reason the Right wing culture in American has a difficult time understanding that a republic is a SUBSET of a democracy. They also confuse popular vote for president as "direct democracy". A direct democracy is a democracy where the citizens directly vote on legislation. We don't see direct democracies today really at the national level. You'll see them locally with things like town halls. Even if we decided to eliminate the electoral college, the US would still not be considered a "direct democracy" because we still don't directly vote for federal legislative bills. Our reps do hence representative democracy.

.... So this is just factually true.

If we were a democracy, Hillary would've won the last election as she won the popular vote.

Yeah that's a mouthful you can't fit on twitter.

It has nothing to do with right or left, just go run a good campaign and win the votes in the states that will make a difference.

You didn't read my post carefully if you agree with it and also believe we would be a direct democracy if we based who is in charge of the executive branch based on the popular vote. Again, choosing who is the head of the executive branch with the popular vote does not make the US a direct democracy. A direct democracy means citizens directly vote for legislative bills. We don't do that at the federal level. There are local town ordinances that are voted directly. Direct democracies today are only seen at a small scale or in unique situations such as the Brexit vote.

And yes it does have to do with right or left as the only people I've heard say "The US is not a democracy" are right wingers.

What I wrote was clear: Twitter is going to limit how much you can communicate. That's why using it for politics literally dumbs people down on both sending/receiving side. It shouldn't be used for this purpose.

Trump is an idiot for using it, everyone using it for political matters automatically categorize themselves into being idiots for me.

So to make things clear -- I'm not refuting what you wrote about democracy and definitions of these things, I'm only trying to explain to everyone that people should try to focus on convincing people in the right states to vote for the candidates they believe in.
