Some people overvalue low 1st Rd picks. I understand this fanbase has been conditioned to think this way.
Overvalue the worth of first round picks? As in proven commodity is better than a first rounder?? Or did you mean to say they undervalue first round picks?
I meant to say, give me a proven commodity over hoping a late 1st rd pick works out. The odds of a late 1st rd pick busting is about 50/50.
Don't you ever complain about the lack of depth and talent on the Texans if you don't see how 1st round picks strengthen this team. Whitney Mercilus Brandin Cooks Will Fuller Tytus Howard Bradley Roby JJ Watt Gareon Conley Vernon Hargreaves Laremy Tunsil Deshaun Watson
Do you know what the bust rate is for late rd picks. If you can get a proven player for a 1st rd pick then there's nothing wrong with mitigating the risk. Depth comes from rd three and on. IMHO. Rd 1-2 are usually starters but if you do a good job a guy like Reid can be found in the 3rd, 4th rds. Failure to find these pieces was what lead to the depth issues under the RS regime. I will say this, RS beat the odds on late 1st rd picks on a regular basis. Then it's like he forgot about the rest of the draft.
Wait Pancakes tweeted out an Arizona Cardinals blog post just to hate on Hopkins? Jesus I know it's pancakes so i don't expect much but have some self respect and integrity as a journalist

Move on because this years Texans team is going to be so good. Removing all feelings aside. A offense of Watson Johnson/Johnson Fuller Cooks Stills Cobb Keke Is really exciting...and I hope opposing defenses have their track shoes ready because it’s going to be a track meet.
I'm stuck with them regardless of whether it works or not. I just randomly think of the trade and find myself in disbelief.
He better be worth it, i just looked at all running back pay and hes the second most paid running back next year more than elliot and below the highest levon bell. He better be worth it.
I’ve got a feeling we are going to see a very solid version of JJ out there this year. His passion for the game is unrivaled and I think he gets past the injury bug this year. yes, I know. That’s a big assumption I got in place there regarding his health. But JJ is a different breed and has used his injuries as a new chip on his shoulder.
He won't be, you know why? Because it's the Texans. From ownership down, this team is poorly managed.
