I was reffering to the regular season... its easier for him to be bad in regular season cause he is reluctant to drive relentlessly during the entire season

That was in the 1995-96 season and his effective FG% was .525 which takes into account the longer shots. James Harden's eFG% is .543 this year. Suck it MJ, suck it Max Ketterman, suck it MJ is a basketball god people. Deal with it. Harden is better on offense than MJ ever was.

I think criticism is warranted, except for a 50 pt game, he stunk it up.

It was high time to justify his contract and have fun again.

I looked it up out of curiosity and he was born in Maryland, went to college in Washington DC and high school in Hyattsville Maryland (it's a suburb of DC).

Hey Max Kellerman, during that season MJ shot just over 3 three point shots per game...

Also, let us consider MJ's career 3P% was 32.7%. Harden is sitting at 36.3%... Oh yeah, and he's taking over 12 3's a game the past 2 years.

Round and round we go with the sports media trolls.

James Harden only had to play 34 minutes tonight. In comparison, Lillard played 43 minutes and Lebron 41. Our next opponent (fingers crossed that we get there) might be tired when we play them!!

sorry about that. the good news is that @Kendrick Lamar got Bad Post of the Week honors, not you. ;) so you got THAT going for you ... which is nice.

Was this the best passing game in recent memory, I really felt like it was. If we play like this, we could beat anyone and win the trophy. This is what people like myself have been waiting for, the ball movement, crips passes, cuts to the basket and attacking the basket, while having different guys with the balls in their hand is just the cherry on top. That was some beautiful adjustment by MDA, though I don't want to act like it's new, we've seen it before, just not as much. It's like Westbrook being out just forced MDA to look at other options and they decided on a great one, so still major credit.

What we saw last night though was a game that early looked like our old selves, just not that into it, low energy and we were missing threes. At some point it was I think Gordon who decided to attack the basket and once Green was at the top of the key, I saw some new sets or new wrinkles to sets that I had never seen - or paid attention to - and it was just groovy. Everyone got involved and you see how that translated to better energy on defense, which then fueled our offense. It was definitely a game where defense lead to offense and we were heavily disruptive, even without the steals. We got into CP3's head, he was really frustrated and just threw it back to his guys like they needed to figure it out themselves cause he cannot get past his man. It was a thing of beauty.

I posted this earlier, but is it too crazy to say Elston Turner over Bzdelik? Is it just simply having the right personnel and attitude rather than scheme since we always had our switching defense under Bzdelik? Anyone who can spot what he's added or changed that really affected how we play defense this year? In any case, impressed by our guys and I really believe Harden is benefitting from no distractions.

Does everyone feel better now!? Ahhhhh. Feel that boys (and girls)? Thats the feels of having the best basketball team in all the game 1's without another GOAT in the lineup. All of the jaded bros who were having anxiety and stuff .. come back. Lets chill.

Fells gud guys. real real gud.

Great first game, as others have said defense is obviously the biggest take away. Green had a great game too, with Russ out some role player is going to have to step in and have a good to great game and Jeff did that tonight.

But if they keep playing defense like this, they'll be fine.

How do you feel about "big ass leads" with like a minute to go in the 4th? I've always been a big fan of those.

    or it was rivers? nevermind

also it was interesting that near the end thunder almost cut the lead to 10 due to our guys insistence on shooting 3s (harden and gordon) early in the shotclock when they should of milk the clock and attack the basket...(how many games in the past we lost due to this?)

when you are up 17 with few minutes to go its stupid to keep chuking 3pters especially early in shotclock.. move the ball and use the clock

then Green decided to attack the basket and of course the thunder quickly raised the white flag as soon as we scored twice that way....
