Billy Donovan didn’t look like an NBA coach tonight. Expect big changes.

His strategy, or lack thereof, had his team looking clueless on both ends of the floor. Stagnant. No movement. It took him almost the entire first half to figure out that maybe, just maybe, he should put his best 5-man unit out there. Roberson is unplayable.

And, of course, the elephant in the room: you have to double or trap Harden.

We can rest Brooks again. Gordon shoots 2 points only to increase the shooting percentage is same function as westbrooks. Roco still needs to improve.

i would expect our D to take a step back in game 2. everyone was doing the right thing almost every time. not overcommitting to people, hedging and then getting back, one guy helping and another guy pre-rotating to the next in line to receive a pass, never having 2 guys run at the same guy, helping off bad shooters typically. all very high level intuition type stuff that will be hard to replicate every game. also, okc was a bit stagnant. but i saw nothing that says our offense can't be as good. we got any shot we wanted all game long.

Yep, not doubling or trapping Harden is pure stupidity. All those shenanigans that the Bucks, Jazz, Kings threw at Harden were gimmicky sure but they frustrated him. When you play a small guard on Harden all game long you're committing suicide because when Harden gets comfortable its game over.

Trapping Harden at halfcourt has proven to slow down this offense. I dont know why they dont do it. I expect changes soon.

Also Covington is shooting 20% in the bubble taking wide open shots. If i'm the Thunders coach, i dont defend him. Whoever is guarding Cov should be doubling Harden at half court until he proves that he can knock them down.

Not with Green and EGo flying downhill toward the rim or everyone hitting wide open 3's.

Donovan is **** out of luck no matter what he does.

He is going to have to dig deep to out coach MDA, in over his head.

Donovan is only an NBA coach by title alone. He was a bad hire and should have been replaced by a real coach a couple of years ago.

I'm glad that he wasn't, though, because I hate that franchise with the fire of a billion scorpion peppers.

The no crowd thing helps the Rockets most given they played at the library all year and th e loudest the crowds ever got was when they gave out chicken sandwiches
