Cuomo should have been rescuing covid-19 patients out of nursing homes when he was busy writing the first draft of this book, editing and revising the second and third drafts, and also proofing the final galleys before compiling the index. If he's got time to do part-time EMT work on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, then he has time to do something about people dying of covid in nursing homes.
Biden is a one-term transition back to normalcy and the New Reconstruction after dip$hits demolition. If Cuomo upsets moderate Democrats on this board, he has my support, just as I supported his dad.
If he wins it would be weird for him not to, but I really don't want Biden to run in 2024. His time to run was really 2016, but alas.

I don't think many here care much for Cuomo. He gets a lot free positive press on CNN when he's shooting the **** with his brother. I mean who cares about conflict of interest and the perception of propaganda. I'm sure Cuomo would be CNN's candidate of choice.
If Cuomo is the nominee in 2024 for the DNC, that would show me that the DNC didn't learn their lesson in 2016 and haven't learned what got Trump into office.
You got my attention. I thought Governor Cuomo did a fantastic job doing his daily briefings. He gave clear, cogent information while trump was doing the exact opposite, telling multiple lies every single day about the virus, the federal response, everything. Is the guy "perfect?" Of course he isn't, but I would take him as governor of Texas over Abbott to handle this pandemic any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. Yes, a guy from New York over our disastrous governor here in Austin during this crisis. That's how bad Abbott has been.
Yes, I could see Cuomo making some of the same mistakes that Rudy made. But I have a hard time believing anyone could replicate the continued self destruction to their name and reputation.
We are shooting for low bars comparing Cuomo to crazy Rudy and Abbot. Cuomo shouldn't be anywhere near the DNC nomination in the future. Ya Cuomo is better than those guys. He would still be a bad future candidate for the DNC. He is not where the party should be headed.
That is pretty much the driving point. Cuomo could become a great politician in Washington. But we certainly shouldnt be throwing him up for a nomination mid pandemic for simply doing his job responsibly. We continue to have subpar candidates because people like Deckard continue to compare him to the lowest common denominator. "Anyone but ..." is a terrible way to vote for someone. Lets be honest though. Publishing a book mid pandemic is very Crazy Rudy like.
If not in prison by 2024 I could see JR or Ivanka trying to run for President. Now that would keep Democrats in office another 4 years for sure if they got the GOP backing.
