You know it's bad when you have to fact check everything the President says. Most of the time I do that I end up finding out it was either a lie or a manipulation of the truth. Vote him out in November!
I’ve made this point a lot. The amount that Trump and his family have profited from the presidency makes his salary as president seem small. Claiming that Trump is acting as president out of the goodness of his heart or patriotism and that he’s losing money is ignorance of how the Trump family makes money and why it matters that Trump didn’t divest himself of his business interests.
It’s not just golf weekends. It’s redirecting military personnel to use his resorts. It’s altering immigration policy to allow more visas for unskilled labor that Trump businesses use. It’s foreign interests patronizing Trump businesses to curry favor. There have been several stories in Saudis buying up blocks of rooms in Trump hotels and not even using them. It’s using government resources to push Trump business interests such as telling the ambassador to the UK to recommend playing the British Open at a Trump resort.
Exactly. And to make this showy and self-serving gesture even more shameful... he probably deducts this donation, and hides his tax return so that is hidden from view.
I hope Joe Biden spends ever weekend as President golfing at a Trump resort, but in the end not paying the bill
Considering Trump's long record of not paying contractors if positions were reversed I could see Trump doing that.
