I think the variance is high. OKC may dominate some games, but Rockets may as well if the 3pt fall. The pendulum may swing very wide.
Agreed, team needs to hit 35% or better from 3. They do this plus Harden does his thing then Rockets blow them out. But if they hit only 34% of 60+ attempts AND win TO and FT battle - Rockets still win. In a tighter game.
This will be the ultimate test against Harden. If he can carry this team without Russ against a Thunder team led by a hungry CP3 who is believed to be on a revenge mission. Depth wise, thunder are a lot better
You've already "engaged" about as much as you're capable of... Try understanding the initial post first... You have no actual points lol
3pt shooting is obviously a big deal. I would argue defense is a huge deal, especially if our 3s aren't falling.
Underrated subplot... Harden Revenge Series on CP3 for completely letting him down by having the worst playoff series OF HIS CAREER last year.
You are right. Winning TO and FT battle will be integral for Rockets. Good thing Rockets have 2 of the best disruptors in the game in Harden and Covington. And PJ is no slouch either.
This is precisely why you're a pretentious poster. @YOLO @D-rock Dude said Rockets in 7, then heavily hedges that position by saying Rockets will lose without Russ playing in most of the games... Then practically all of his posts in this thread have been rhetoric in favor of OKC beating HOU... If the Rockets win even if it's without Russ he'll say he predicted a Rockets win... If the Rockets lose... All his rhetoric and "analysis" was that they would lose and OKC was a better team and a mismatch and "I said it all along". Not a single substantive point or argument in any of his posts about any of the Rockets advantages in this series or how they could win.... Yet accusing people multiple times who've picked the Rockets in 6 games for saying the Thunder are easy when they didn't say that.
I expected Durant in the Gif, it's a Thunder thread after all. He did grace that show with his presence. I'll take Idris.
It will definitely not be a cakewalk, but there's no home court advantage for OKC, we still have Harden, Westbrook is not there to just get revenge which might be to our advantage and inability to shoot threes which we need to stretch those bigs far out. There is no access to strip clubs so that won't be a distraction this year, Green is balling out of control and we have something to prove. I could see it being over in 5 or even pushed to 7 but I respect OKC enough to see them at least winning 2, so chose in 6.
I think the HC advantage has been emphasized enough. Teams got used to it, it cuts both ways. The Rockets were slightly better at home than on the road so it doesn't really matter. The Thunder are smart enough to take it to 7 in their best case scenario.
Since there is none, Rockets are at an advantage. We don't win because of our crowd, maybe a run here and there, but that's it.
Then tell me why they won more games at home. It's not for the crowd, it's for the familiarity and surrounding.
Sure, but that is out the window for all teams. Rockets however have a crowd disadvantage when it comes to most teams. Thunder crowd was always very loud and intimidating, so Rockets have the advantage since Thunder won’t have that now.
The only thing you've proven is an inability to speak in specifics which allows you to not address just how wrong you actually are, but don't worry I got you covered there... hilarious indeed lol
