Or vote by mail since there isn't a problem with it unless someone in charge works really hard to try and create problems with it.
I completely agree, and it deeply bothers me that I feel this way. Trump and his cronies are actively trying to turn America into a dictatorship where they can stay in power forever, and there is a large percentage of people in this country that don’t care. America is my home, and Trump is trying to ruin it, but they don’t care because of petty reasons like “owning the Liberals.” Anyone who is a decent human being with basic morals and ethics realizes this act and other corrupt ones committed by the Trump administration are wrong and should not be tolerated.
You do realize that if you follow the CDCs guidelines it should be perfectly safe to go vote in person. Just look at the example of the rioters/protesters.
You can still vote by mail - just do it at the earliest opportunity. Or simply exercise common sense when voting in person.
OMG, you do realize that Abbott exempts voting stations and people working in them from wearing masks don't you? It does not follow CDC guidelines.
In California, I know that I can vote by mail. We can also verify that our vote has been counted. Ashame that the leader of the nation would try and damage democracy and make it more difficult to count votes and the will of the people.
No, I checked. Unless you have a disability or other other qualifying factor such as being over 65 you can't. Quit saying that. It's an option in Texas! Our Texas Republicans simply don't give a **** about whether you want that option. You need to read up on our laws before posting all your nonsense. Seriously dude.
Wattafan currently clueless that voting typically takes place indoors on all the same equipment while protesting takes place outdoors. Will get a clue soon but not after at least another six pages of confirmation bias.
What conspiracy? Seriously address this. Trump himself admitted he’s withholding funding so states have a harder time voting by mail. How is this a leftist conspiracy when it’s been confirmed?
Unless the States decided to move polling stations outdoor, the protesters example doesn't apply at all. CDC recommends less crowd, variety of voting options, stay home if sick (obviously), etcs. Trump and Republican are actively working to make mail-in ballots harder, or not an option for anyone that want it, reducing polling places which increases crowd, not extending early voting, accepting mail-ballot postmarked by election day... Many methods to make it easier to vote, spread it out, and reduce crowd and thus making it safer to vote that Republican are actively working against are against CDC recommendations. The good news is all of this attention provide awareness of what Trump and the Republican are attempting to do - suppressing vote and possibly laying the ground work to not accept a loss. This will alert people to do what's necessary to overcome it, including voting as early as possible. Of course, people making adjustments necessary to be safe and to increase the chance their vote count ISN'T a GOOD thing - it's shouldn't be this way, but it is because we have a President and a Republican party that is anti-democracy. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/election-polling-locations.html The more an individual interacts with others, and the longer that interaction, the higher the risk of COVID-19 spread. Elections with only in-person voting on a single day are higher risk for COVID-19 spread because there will be larger crowds and longer wait times. Lower risk election polling settings include those with: a wide variety of voting options longer voting periods (more days and/or more hours) any other feasible options for reducing the number of voters who congregate indoors in polling locations at the same time Where available in your jurisdiction, offer alternative voting methods that minimize direct contact and reduce crowd size at polling locations Consider offering alternatives to in-person voting if allowed in the jurisdiction. Offer early voting or extended hours, where voter crowds may be smaller throughout the day. Consider drive-up voting for eligible voters if allowed in the jurisdiction. Encourage voters planning to vote in-person on election day to arrive at off-peak times. For example, if voter crowds are lighter mid-morning, advertise that in advance to the community.
Perhaps he was lying when he said funding is needed to process the increase in mail-in ballots demand and he's against that. Outside of his intention, it's possible that additional funding is NOT needed to meet the mail-in ballots demand, and that other actions is what's causing lapse in meeting it... that the funding is more of a smoke-screen for these actions, when in reality, if the USPS operates as it has for years, it would easily be able to handle the increase in demand. There is still a lot of uncertainty on what's going on. What changes has the USPS done, why and what other change are they planning on. And most importantly, why are they warning States that they may not post mark mail-in ballots by the deadline the States have provided them months ago and what can they do to correct that. We need info but this admin is likely going to try to block and not provide info... until it's too late.
How is this happening in America? Trump and his loyal contributer put in charge of destroying our Postal Service, destroying and removing post office boxes, and attempting to suppress the voting process should be enough of a criminal offense to lock them both up. This is not a Dictatorship. He needs to be held accountable.
Soooo..... you’re telling me that it’s bullshit that they can’t handle mail in voting volume when they were able to deliver a bunch of not so cleverly disguised campaign letters with Donnie’s signature on them just fine?
Yea, doesn’t add up. USPS handled 142.6 Billion of mails in 2019. They handles Billion of deliveries over just the Christmas week. How many mail in ballots could we have? At most (these are over estimates) there are 300m voters. 200m registered to vote. 150m actually vote. 100m vote by mails. Likely much smaller than 100m do vote by mail. So, how is it that the USPS can’t handle 100m ballots ? https://facts.usps.com/table-facts/ https://facts.usps.com/one-day/
This. We just have to crush these folks who openly try to steal elections and I predict that sometime soon they will be held in as high regard as Bull Connor and the KKK.
