On NPR they are discussing about Kamla Harris being the first Asian American running on Presidential ticket. They are interviewing Sri Preston Kulkarni who is running for TX 22 (Sugarland) trying for the first Asian American elected to Congress from TX. He is gushing over Kamala Harris as the first Asian for VP.

While Harris is half Asian I haven't seen her emphasize that part of her background and she seems to emphasize her black (Jamaican) side much more. I personally don't think of her as an Asian American politician.

Interesting comment by Judoka. I wonder if Indian Americans look at her as truly the first Indian American candidate.

I remember back in the day an African American woman lawyer friend of mine who backed Hillary vs Obama told me that she did not consider Obama and African American. She could not really identify with him on that, while she identified with Hillary as a woman.

Kamala certainly ticks all the boxes. First "African" American and first "Asian" American VP. A woman of course.

Obama and Soros etc. intially picked her out to be the 2020 Presidential candidate about a year or two before anyone announced or there was much discussion of potential candidates. I guess the establishment almost always win.

    However, vote for Biden-Kamala.

I wanted Kamala over Rice, who I view as just another liberal warmonger. I am not aware of Kamala being full throttle in favor of regime change wars for instance.
I am concerned with her being already the front runner for 2024 as we see with Biden who had little to recommend him except for his being a VP.

As others have noted Kamala is transparently a flipflopper and ambitious. She is bold, unlike for instance the cautious Mr. Obama. Under the right circumstances this can be an advantage.

My hope that Kamala who grew up partially in Canada and who has said her mother and her enjoyed the Canadian National Healthcare Plan might, being bold and ambitious, might decide to go against the corporatocracy and lead us to it. Polls have shown in Canada that the most popular Premier was the one who won them National Health.

Give her time, we have almost 3 more months until November. The Asian side will come out when she needs it. She’ll be whatever you want her to be.

If for some reason the Asian vote is in doubt it wouldn't surprise me if she started campaigning in a sari.

After implicit bias training with his friends at the pool, the next logical step is explicit bias training...
