Yuck, I guess this is a middling gesture for the establishment. I question that. I'm not Black, but she doesn't seem so Black to me. Only one of her parents is Black. Neither parent was born in the US. She lived in Canada for a while. So this is not a lot of typical Black experience. She's a former prosecutor, when American prisons are full of Black men. She's a millionaire. . . . There are other Black women with old African-American roots, who had more typical Black experiences, I'm sure. I do think it matters. But I'm not Black.
