Ugh. I think is probably a good pick for solidifying the election, but less-than-ideal once in office. Hopefully I'm wrong on the latter. And I hope she's not the default favorite in 2024.
I hear a lot of this. What are the objections? It seems like everyone is complaining but no one is articulating why. (other than generic statements about not being progressive but I'm not sure anyone under serious consideration would have passed that test)
I doubt she would be... 2020 is about getting rid of trump. 2024 is a clean plate for not just the Dem party but the nation.
I just promised to vote for Biden the other day and now this. But I didn't promise to vote for Harris. . . .
Because David Icke is right about the reptilian clones. And she's an unlikable personality. But that hasn't stopped Trump from being the GOAT.
Given that it apparently had to be a female, and not geriatric, Harris and Rice were the only real options. All of the other minority options were far too unproven and risky, and Warren is old and white. She's not gonna win any popularity contests, but she's the least dangerous option, and unless they f**k up royally (never put it past the democrats) she's almost certainly gonna be our first female president.
Not my first choice, but I think Senator Harris will do just fine on the campaign trail, such as it is, and as Vice-President. She's vastly superior to Pence, an extremely low bar, of course. Can't say I'm terribly surprised that she got the nod.
“in the 2020 election, expect Trump and his campaign, who have had a hard time casting Biden as an extremist or a radical, to make attacks on Harris with sexist and racist undertones...” This expectation could be a factor for selecting Harris.
LOL Back when Kamala was AG she locked up parents and innocent people. She didn't go after banks. Such an uninspiring choice. Certainly the safe pick for the next President if/when Biden steps down.
Completely agree there. Kaine was shockingly boring. Harris should be at least a bit entertaining. She might even be described as competent. I don't think that's a stretch.
damn, ur ignorant. Calif AG Kamala went after Wells Fargo and nation’s other four largest mortgage firms, and winning https://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-senate-harris-banks-20161016-snap-story.html State Atty. Gen. Kamala Harris was showered with applause at February’s California Democratic Party convention after spelling out how she went up against the nation’s five largest mortgage firms to help deliver a landmark $25-billion national settlement.
I think she'll do extremely well against Pence if they debate. If I'm the Trump campaign, i'd keep Pence out of that situation. It'll be interesting...she was leading most of the VP polls that I saw with Warren being the only one close to her. She's also showed some fire at times and I think that'll be needed...just not too much to overshadow Joe. I'm "ehhh" on picking her, but I'm firmly in the Biden camp at this point and I may come around on her as time goes on.
I'll get excited about the pick after I get over this afternoon's game. That was like going to the dentist and having to sit in a chair for two hours with your mouth pried open, needles being poked in there, constant drilling. What an awful game.
Both Biden and Harris were at the bottom of my picklist when this whole thing started, so this is awesome.
