Galinari and Shai are the real MVPs. The Clippers gave a butt load for Paul George.

If people are worried about CP3, wait till they find out who the Clippers and Lakers have on their roster.

Hint: 3 time NBA Champion LeBron James and 2 time finals MVP Kawhai Leonard. Theres tough matches all across the western conference.

I would definitely rather face LeBron and the Lakers than the clippers. But all I'm trying to say is, we are going to have beat multiple good teams to win the championship. If we're scared of losing to CP3 in the first round then forget beating the Clippers or the Bucks.

CP3 rankings in 3 major wins added metrics

    538
8.1 wins above replacement which is 12th in the entire NBA

    Basketball reference
8.9 win shares which is 8th in the entire NBA

    ESPN
11.17 wins added which is 5th in the entire NBA

The amount of saltiness some of you guys have towards this guy has gotten comical. The only reason you get to NOT worry about Chris Paul is if he gets hurt. Because when healthy, even now, he IS one of the best players in the NBA. Why some of you try to live in a non realistic world when it comes evaluating him and his contributions to winning is just weird.

Also before anyone goes in on how terrible these stats are. Harden ranks 1st, 1st and 3rd by these metrics. I’d say they might be on to something.

So which stat tells us why the revered leader showed up fat to the 2018-2019 season?

Because if he wasn't so selfish and whiny, we would have a title right now. Injured hamstring is not his fault, but the following season was inexcusable in terms of fitness, performance and attitude. He gave us 15.6 points on 12.4 shots @ 30 something million. He shat the bed and is a big part of why we don't have a title.

Just think about it for a second. Harden told this guy we're so desperate for a title, then this guy shows up for title attempt #2 overweight. I don't know how Harden didn't punch him in the mouth for that, but he should have.

He can brew all he wants but no one's drinking it. The days of having Capela switch on him to eventually nutmeg our center are long gone.

OMG did Chris Paul come to the game to scout us and intimidate us? Hahahahahahahaha

Is that what it was all about?

Hate the man all you want. It’s your right.

Don’t delude yourself into thinking he’s some scrub that we shouldn’t worry about or that he somehow wasn’t one of the best players in the NBA this season or that he wasn’t THE BIGGEST driver of wins on a team that everyone thought would suck.

Because I see a lot of that around here. The saltiness from an injury and 1 down year plus the need for some people here to feel like the CP3 for Westbrook trade was soooo much of a slam dunk win for Houston that they ignore reality.

    Its unnecessary. Be realistic.

lol what does that have to do with people on this forum claiming that he wasn’t very good THIS YEAR?

Posters claim he’s not that good, no one to worry about this season

I provide statistical evidence he was in fact VERY VERY good THIS season.

“Well what about that time he wasn’t good!”

I will never not like Chris Paul for what he did in Houston. No one can blame him for getting hurt. That being said I hope they play them just so Russ can beat OKC.

generally being realistic isn't going to happen for most, especially the casuals around here. you can literally search for all the wb posts prior to being traded here and boy is it not pretty. The same people thats been drilling him for years, especially the year he took the mvp trophy from harden just by averaging an extra 2 rebs, have lost all consistency and all is well now.
