the tomfoolery with this administration never ends can’t wait until this nightmare is over and we can stop discussing the daily childish events from the White House
Yes, the second Birx steps off the reservation, she is assailed by the Trumpanzees and the Trumpettes. When she is couching everything in political terms and trying to tell him what he wants to hear (back in April: "We're flattening the curve, Mister President!" "You're in! Fauci, you're out!"), she is a hero for the administration.
You and me both, homeboy. It'll be after a protracted anti-Constitutional bull**** war between Election Day and Inauguration Day. The military might have to drive him out of the White House with tear gas (uh, "non-combative aerosol irritants"), but he'll be out.
There was a NYT article that dumped a lot of blame ("roam the halls") on Birx and her reliance on data that convinced Trump Admin that the worst was over in April. That started the ball rolling with Pelosi n co. Since Fauci is unassailable for now, Birx is next to blame.
Maybe she was trying too hard to be the Trump Whisperer. But funny how clowns like Navarro and Laura Ingraham were taking their revenge on Fauci, the former for Fauci pushing back on hydroxychloroquine (which the President wanted to sell as the Covid wonder drug and I guess get rich) and the latter for a mild pushback against her Nazi propaganda). Birx until now has been the sweet old lady serving coffee and biscuits. One wrong word and now she's the old lady sticking Toto in the basket.
If you work for Trump, you have a good chance of getting thrown under the bus at some point in time. Dr. Birx responded to an NYT article with White House sources putting most of the blame on her for overly positive projections in April. Those sources, possibly including Trump himself and most likely with Trump's blessing, took shots at Dr. Birx first, then can't handle it when she dared to reply.
Pretty much this. Trump never takes responsibility and is always ready to blame anyone other than his family members.
Heard a podcast in which the (liberal) host expressed surprise that Trump hasn’t throw Pence under the bus yet and replace him as the VP candidate. Well, there is still time for that...
And this is the thing. All Birx did was state the obvious. The virus has spread throughout country. The virus is no longer just found in large metro areas. This really isn’t even news to anyone who’s been paying attention.
