Young people not taking it seriously enough seems to be more of a driver of the spread, at least the recent one, than anything. Are they conservative or not? I don't think that matter so much as who are the one that are downplaying covdi19. The younger people hear those messages and they act accordingly.

But this is on the older people. They are dying at a higher rate. Which also obviously implies older people get covid19 at a higher rate (not necessary true, but it sounds reasonable without digging deeper down). These older people need to get their acts together and be more responsible. The younger folks are doing fairly fine.

Because the northeast coast got hit first, early before testing and the most basic preventative actions were taken. In states with mass public transport and super dense populations.

Please understand, you can't allow yourself to fall into these braindead narratives that whack offs like bigtexx deepthroat. I've had semi-reasonable conversations with you before, you also go off the deep end a lot, but sometimes I think you are open for legitimate discussion.

The blue states vs red states narrative is trash, we didn't respond correctly as a nation when Corona first started to pop off, our port to western Europe (NY, which spread to the surrounding states due to the proximity/density) got hammered. Our port to Asia (LA) got hammered. These areas never had much of a chance under our current administration, which does not believe in science, does not believe in math.

The red states should have never gotten hit the way they are now, there was never a reason for this to happen. After seeing Italy, and especially after seeing the northeast coast, this country was supposed to go on a strict nationwide lockdown for about 3 months, this is what nearly every other highly developed western country did. As you can see, when all the other countries did this, the new cases were cut by over 90%, the deaths sharply declined, and now they have MUCH better control over the virus and can re-open safely while tending to individual breakouts that will happen until vaccines come through.

We simply didn't do this, the lunacy of our president and right governors sabotaged our nation. Our cases never peaked, we never shut down, we never put in comprehensive systems, and now so many more people are unnecessarily dying. The worst affected will always be the poor has always been the blacks and natives. The two groups of people who never asked to be a part of this country.

I think people should be honest and fair about the health risks that come with any crowds, and weigh that against the good that comes with people congregating for a given political purpose. If you don’t think the protests serve any good purpose, any more so than a Trump political rally, then I guess that counter-weight does not factor in at all for you.

I agree with everything you wrote. None of what you wrote does black people any good

Trump's ongoing ineptitude should be criticized but right now ia not the time to be criticizing what happened months ago. Done deal we need to constantly move forward

There will be plenty of time rehash the entire story later on

"Always be behind" implies it is some kind of competition.

That is a focus on race and one with no winner. Its a loser mentality.

The George Floyd protests are over - it is about social justice now.
And personally the violence, destruction and looting is in itself a social justice issue.
