Elon Musk in a series of interviews with CNBC says “China Rocks” and praises their energy sector. He criticizes the US particularly CA as full of entitlement. I’m on my phone so difficult to post text but here is the link https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/31/tes... “entitled,Automotive News podcast out Friday
Musk is free to move to China once travel restrictions are lifted. He’s also being a hypocrite when complaining about entitlement culture in America. He threw a temper tantrum when he wasn’t allowed to reopen his Tesla factory in California while the state was locked down and decided to move his operations to Austin in response.
I agree the Chinese factory worker is way more dedicated than the American counterpart I saw that Obama factory people documentary! Musk replied: “China rocks in my opinion. The energy in China is great. People there – there’s like a lot of smart, hard working people. And they’re really -- they’re not entitled, they’re not complacent, whereas I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.”
It seems to me that Musk wants factory workers he can exploit to do his bidding, and that’s easier to do with people in China than those in the United States.
Well if he loves China so much he can move his ass over there and stay. But don’t complain about intellectual property theft when China releases a knock off of everything you sell and you can’t get a patent on anything.
California is a great place. I lived there 6 years. I can tell you don't know what you are talking about. It is funny to me to see foreigners extract every ounce they can out of usa or california only to pay it forward by talking sh*it about usa the entire time. You see it on reddit too. All want to bash it yet I dont see elon rushing to move back to south africa.. Dude is the poster child for entitlement. He only likes china due to cheap labor. Musk stock has really dropped for me since this virus and I didn't care much before but his shtick is grown thin quickly. The biggest issue in California is there are lots of people and overpopulation all trying to sit on the same postage stamp. Lovely place and its not dems or repugs fault the weather and natural beauty is what it is.
Elons opinions are a bit loose for a very successful businessman. However I will give him respect for speaking his mind, unlike the other coward billionaires. There is quite a bit of truth to what he says. For years now, many americans, especially left leaning, have been talking down about manufacturing and how its not very important anymore. Covid has exposed this very short sighted thinking and these same people are doubling down on their idiocy by criticizing Musk for trying to keep his manufacturing facilities open. These same people also want to criticize Musk for being highly successful in his government grants but have no problem throwing money at scams like Solyndra. I acknowledge Musk is highly ambitious and I also acknowledge highly ambitious people don't let naysayers get in their way. He has done more towards solving our pollution crisis than all the idiots in Washington that some of you worship. Musk is completely open to licensing his EV tech to other manufactures to help speed up the process to get EV's on the road. What has Apple, FB, Microsoft, and Amazon done? The exact opposite.
He specifically said he met some arrogant people there I believe him I trust myself about this topic lol Why is building a monster factor in Texas?
