Nobody in their right mind believes that. If anything, Coronavirus deaths are highly unreported. There are so many listed as pneumonia or other causes of death, so many not even tested who died at home or in an ambulance who aren't required to be tested, and others whose health problems became severe because of Coronavirus who aren't listed as a Covid-19 death.

What in the world ever happened to the republican party?

Twitter limits Arizona GOP Chair Kelli Ward's account for spreading COVID-19 misinformation

Republicans: Suppressing votes is fair, and it must be done for us to “win” an election.
Also, Republicans: Twitter, don’t you dare restrict our ability to mislead the public and punish one of our candidates for breaking your clearly defined rule concerning what we can and can’t tweet about.

This. Just stand up at the podium, make a couple remarks about how this will be difficult but America can get over it... hand the microphone to Fauci, and not say bat **** crazy things about the “Kung Flu” or drugs being miracle cures or about injecting bleach into the body or how the disease will disappear.

Had he only been halfway competent he would be running away with the election but he had to go all “Trump” and continue to destroy the USA.

    Americans should be embarrassed.

I will have to strongly disagree you on this point.

Trump let this monster out of the cage and it is uniquely his. He disbanded the pandemic strike force, he purposely under played the severity of it, he did not listen to his top experts, he purposely sowed discord and confused people. He eventually just ignored the problem until the polls crushed him... he failed to exercise a federal plan and not only deferred to the states but encouraged states to open up contrary to the CDC guidelines.... he made an absolute mess out of this, one so bad that it would be hard to emulate.

If you want to argue we would be at war with someone under Clinton, I will buy that. If you want to argue the economy would be suffering I will question it but it is believable... but the idea that THIS would be the outcome on COVID under another President just really strains the realm of reality.

you have no way of knowing that Clinton wouldn't have pulled a Cuomo/de Blasio on covid-19. My guess is there's at least even odds that she would have reacted as poorly as Cuomo/de Blasio. Better than Trump, perhaps, but not by any significantly huge margin.

You gonna talk about the numbers in Texas today or you gonna wait until it dips a little?

If they did that our cases would have significantly declined by now. This is a weird bone for you to try to pick, no dem president would have completely ignored science and math like Trump. He JUST started wearing masks, your kidding yourself on this OS.

where was the outcry from the nation's political leaders in January? February? March? what level of disagreement was there with Trump's inactivity in January/February/March? you can't tell me that you know for sure that someone else would have herded cats in January/February/March and prevented the outbreak of covid-19 in the U.S. That is a counterfactual that absolutely NO ONE can know for sure. That's all I'm saying.

The really amusing thing about O's is that he obviously considers himself a rigorous thinker considering varied "data points", but he can't even grapple with simple biology and cause and effect. Somehow, he believes that the multitude of ways that a President's actions or non-actions could affect the spread of a highly contagious virus basically = 0. It's just a denial of objective reality.

Yes just like there's no way of KNOWING FOR SURE that Hillary wouldn't have put out a sex tape by now if she was prez.

You are doing strange mental gymnastics, there was plenty of outcry in March and April, any dem president would have handled this significantly better by following basic math, basic science, listening to the experts, copying other civilized countries.

Just as you are doing by pulling a "no on REALLY knows" thing.

Do you acknowledge that Trump is anti-science and math? Is blatantly against listening to scientific consensus, listening to our leading experts?

Do you acknowledge no major dem candidate in 2016 or 2020 is anything like that?

You mean like the European leaders did? They make Trump look like an idiot, as we lead the world in new daily cases.

Then why the hell are you asking it if "no one can know for sure"? This is such a dumb argument. Based off the decision-making Trump has done, you can for sure say he has made bad decisions. Period.

Most new cases today in the world were US, India, Brazil, Texas, Columbia and Florida, so it would be crazy if he did. He might try and find a Tuesday to compare it to though, and treat it as a victory.

Trump is bat **** crazy to push for reopening, and Texas and Florida's governors have shown how bad their loyalty to please their puppet master have affected their people in this pandemic.

I can absolutely tell for sure that nobody in leadership from either party would have as piss poor of a job as Trump did.

This won’t deter them. They will go missing for a few days and then pop back up with more blatant lies and false claims.

rinse and repeat. Republicans have embraced lying and made up facts.
