They do now: AT&T SportsNet Southwest was added Wednesday to the channel lineup for AT&T TV and AT&T TV Now, making the regional sports network available to subscribers as the Astros’ season begins Friday night and the Rockets’ season resumes later this month.
Austin Pruitt, Rogelio Armenteros and Brad Peacock are starting the season on the injured list. Jack Mayfield and Abraham Toro won the Astros' last two bench spots. Cristian Javier, Enoli Paredes, Blake Taylor and Brandon Bailey are among the pitchers making their first OD roster
Those extra spots make for an extremely weird looking roster. The pitchers in particular read like a random spring training split squad group.
The Astros felt Roberto Osuna was close enough to being ready that they included him on their active roster, but it’s still unclear if he’ll be available to pitch in tomorrow night’s opener. There is no update on Yordan Alvarez or Jose Urquidy. Asked if he was confident they'd play in 2020, James Click said: "Unfortunately, I can’t comment on timelines or expectations on that. We’re doing everything we can to get them back on the field as soon as we possibly can.” Astros general manager James Click on the starting rotation: "I mean, it's been a while since I had a 1 through 5 starting rotation to think about, so I'm probably still getting my head around that." The Astros say their pregame ceremonies tomorrow will include a celebration of the 2019 season, "an acknowledgement & show of support for racial and social justice, and a segment honoring the frontline heroes who have taken care of the entire country during the pandemic." Lyle Lovett will perform a virtual performance of the National Anthem before Friday's Astros game.
I would have preferred Taylor Jones over Mayfield. We have enough guys that can play SS/2B not to need Mayfield.
"You're welcome to call the team up and ask, too, if you get your dog's tongue out of your mouth first." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Chronicle reporter gets pissy when repeatedly being asked same questions while acknowledging he is repeatedly asking same questions to the Astros.
He wasn't being pissy about being asked the question. He was being pissy about someone wrongly and insultingly asserting he was too much of a coward to ask the question.

Per the Astros, Yordan Alvarez, Jose Urquidy and Cionel Perez have all been cleared to return to baseball activities. Alvarez, Urquidy and Perez (plus non-roster pitchers Shawn Dubin and Ralph Garza) will all remain on the IL as rehabbers while training at the team’s alternate site in Corpus Christi.
Savvy vet moves to miss out on training camp!! Just kidding, of course. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy!! Not digging the 8pm local start tonight.
