    Why can't these companies use the free market to determine where their office spaces and factories should be? Why shake down local communties for it?

    Why do people support these practices? There should be a federal ban on tax incentives for corporations above a certain threshold of revenue.

    Is Tesla not profitable without these tax insentives? Is the wealth that Elon accumulates not enough without those tax incentives?

    As a liberal I don't respect a large part of American culture right now. It's become pretty toxic. There is no sense of community. We are driven by narcissisism and ego and label it as "individualism" as justification for said behavior.

    I’m sure it worked out well for both parties
    So the poor stay poor
    And those white collar workers have to go somewhere else
    And amazon will make the best decisions for their employees and shareholders

    happy for Pflugerville. I doubt their rep is as popular as AOC but I think they are doing a good job

    And smart people will always be smart people

    people die by trying to cross the highway all the time . People fall off cliffs taking selfies .

    I don’t know what political association they are but those aren’t smart people.

    jealously and envy is also human nature.
    Who hates Tesla going to Texas and trying to change the narrative that we have a pandemic ?

    pandemic is a constant for all states. People still need jobs to work and get money.

    no blue collar jobs when a company is being built?
    Elon musk has to hire construction workers right?
    They got to build roads right ?

    Elon is great for Texas . Pandemics , China , aliens , bats and pangolins can’t change that fact

    All the charities from all the wealthy in this nation and as of 2020 we still have this issue:

    So no, charity is no where close to enough. A giant restructuring of how we pay for k-12 education at the federal level would be the only force capable of closing that significant of a gap.
