John Lewis 2017: President Trump is not a legitimate President. "Today, Donald Trump attacked me on Twitter. He said that I'm 'all talk' and 'no action,' " Lewis wrote. "I've been beaten bloody, tear-gassed, fighting for what's right for America. I've marched at Selma with Dr. King. Sometimes that's what it takes to move our country in the right direction." He continued: "Some leaders reject decades of progress and want to return to the dark past, when the power of law was used to deny the freedoms protected by the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and its Amendments. "I remember when segregation was the law of the land that ordered our society in the Deep South. The forces of law and order in Alabama were so strong that to take a stand against this injustice, we had to be willing to sacrifice our lives for our cause. "It took massive, well-organized, non-violent dissent and criticism of this great nation and its laws to move toward a greater sense of equality in America."
Mariah Carey Trolls Donald Trump By Calling Hillary Clinton 'President' Whitney Vasquez , TheBlast•August 6, 2019 Mariah Carey is Team Clinton and isn't afraid to shout it from the rooftops. The legendary singer appeared to be trolling Donald Trump by calling Hillary Clinton "president" on Monday. Mariah shared a recent photo showing her posing with the former Democratic nominee during Barbra Streisand's show at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Saying it was "an honor to see President Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton," Mariah continued by thanking the two politicians for "everything you have done and continue to do for our country." The singer also shared a photo showing her with Bill Clinton. Although the photos were taken on Saturday, it appears Mariah was taking a direct shot at President Donald Trump following a weekend of massacre. Earlier in the day, before Babs' show, shots rang out at an El Paso, Texas Walmart killing 22 people. On Sunday, the world woke up to another shooting in Ohio which killed 9 people. So, far the death toll is 31. Following the shootings, Mariah Carey shared a quote by Martin Luther King, Jr. reading, "Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him." "This must stop," Mariah wrote. "For the sake of our children. Enough." Barbra Streisand also gushed over the Clintons following her show. Posting a picture with the former President and First Lady, Streisand wrote, "So honored this brilliant couple attended my concert in New York. The only President in the last 50 years to leave our country with a budget surplus." She continued, "He also banned assault weapons, which the Republicans then overturned."
But I'm being told he's the most racist, homophobic, anti-feminist president in history. How can that be?
