They have been doing this for decades and have ship yards in the jungle -- they don't make full subs just semi submersibles.

they have full subs also that are extremely sophisticated (that they haven't been made by a government or large companies), but we have yet to find them. Just testimonials from people in this organizations we have captured about the tech they have

Spain Captures First Known 'Narcosub' to Cross the Atlantic

      • Spanish police have commandeered the first known “narcosub” to make the trip from South America to Europe.
      • The submarine had just arrived off the coast of Spain, carrying more than $100 million in cocaine.
      • Narcosubs are used by cartels to move large amounts of drugs from South America to Mexico, but this is the first known to have traveled as far as Europe.

The people were very nice to open their latch when they heard the knocking in the middle of the ocean.

Think of the time and effort it took to do this for a measly 150 grams. Color me impressed, @JuanValdez, that's dedication, holmes.

Italian police have discovered cocaine hidden inside individual coffee beans, in a package sent from Colombia.

Police at Milan Malpensa Airport said they became suspicious of the package as it was addressed to a Santino D’Antonio, the name of a crime boss in the film John Wick: Chapter 2.

A 50-year-old man was arrested after trying to collect the package from a Florence tobacco shop.

Looks like it is only designed to cruise beneath the surface.

Surprising since submarines have been around for 1500 years, and the cartels certainly have the resources to design and build a proper sub to transport billions in coke.

I see... It looked like a real sub to me, but that would make sense. Narcos do have real subs too, so I don't understand the point of continuing to build semi submersibles.

Setting aside pressure - keeping the engine running efficiently and fresh air in the cabin is exponentially easier with a craft that can pull directly from the atmosphere.

It's amazing what a little ingenuity, market demand and tons freely available cocaine does for engineers.

Do you know how cheap child labor is in Colombia...? But when youve got to have it, youll go through hoops. It might've been cheaper and easier to grow his own plants and manufactured it himself.
