MLB makes more money when the Yankees or Red Sox are in the WS. Manfred likes money most of all.

It looks like this Yankees Scandal will be stored away by MLB

It's awful because it's going to hurt Jose's HOF candidacy. I listened to one of the LA hosts who had a writer come on the air, member of the BWAA. He went off on how none of the Stros will ever deserve to get it. And that they got off easy. Almost certain way more 'writers' with votes feel this way.
What was so revealing is that they're still obsessed with Altuve not allowing his shirt being ripped open, a gag that went on for ages like Sexy Marisnick throwing Jose's hat into the stands. smh.And I'm obsessed on how they won't look at all the plays from 2015 and not realize it's always been a gag.
    F' the MLB

Altuve is going to have to get a few more 200+ hit seasons post scandal to get national respect back. Going to be hard getting HOF votes from biased East and West coast reporters though.

"Writers" this lazy and unintelligent shouldn't be allowed a HoF vote. The HoF voting process is a sick joke, largely because of mental dwarfs like this.

There’s still plenty more years where these players will have a chance to continue to produce... and more will come out, or be associated, with just how rampant everything was amongst a lot of teams, and that should dilute the focus on the Astros.

At some point, mostly all the steroid users are going to be in the HOF as well (at least Bonds/Clemens).... time does heal a lot. Also, baseball writers are sanctimonious idiots that can obviously change their focus in a split second or be a hypocritical as it comes when saying what “should or shouldn’t” happen under their watch. In the end, they’re a dying breed that is also at risk for not being able to truly cover the hallowed sport the way they once did...

Remember when not letting media in the lockeroom (due to initial virus concerns) was a front page story by Ken Rosenthal? And how it would lead to all sorts of “problems”? THAT is the type of idiocy the BBWA is dealing with.

    To Not Open the Letter.

Millions if Dollars, to Protect the Yankees.

Corrupt will Stay Corrupt. No Justice.

Brian Cashman shouldve been fired along with the Red Sox GM Along with losing First Round Picks.

Y’all do realize the MLB definitely didn’t want the Astros story going public and tried their hardest to cover it up until Mike Fiers b*tch ass came public with it? What were they supposed to do after that?

How about treating every club equally when it came to divulging their participation in cheating and handing out punishment?

Stealing signs has been a part of baseball for as long as there has been baseball. Every team does it, or at least tries to. Why wouldn't they? It's a matter of HOW they do it. Which is always going to lead to people pushing those boundaries, particularly as technology is decades ahead of the regulations around it.

He should move one of them to the NL so it can be both of them in the WS  Better yet, why even have the other 28 teams? o_O

Pretty sure that teams know it's unfairly pushing the boundaries to use technology. Would it be OK to have recording devices in opponents' locker rooms to hear their strategy? What about some sort of listening device in opponents' dugouts or basketball/football sideline? It's common sense to allow for "stealing" information the old fashioned way (observation and interpretation), but technology is off limits and should be.

Every team is probably cheating. The main reason we got caught was because Fiers ratted us out. Some yankee needs to come out and Rat on his teammates.

even when players speak out, no one listens because they don’t *want* to believe it. See Logan Morrison. The hypocrisy is on another level. Confirmation bias abound. I expect it from fans but not “journalists”. I’d expect the latter of the two to, I don’t know, investigate the rampant, clearly league-wide issue instead of blindly dunking on the Astros. We deserve the league mandated punishment, but the constant low blows is a bit much.

You should expect it from "journalists". You shouldn't expect it from journalists. :)
