A gun can be used for hunting to survive, protection in the wild, protection in your home.... or it can be used for mass murder.

You know that the LITERAL words "Make.... America... Great.... Again...." is not on its face Merriam Webster dictionary racist.... but if it's phrasing is used to describe the very picture of racial grievance.... yes... then its clearly racist in the context.

Trump's brand of MAGA is racist. This isn't that hard dude.

About 10% of this country self identifies as white nationalists. There's probably a lot more who wouldn't own up to it in a poll. When you factor in the size of Trumps base, it goes to say that percentage wise white nationalists would make up at least 25% - which really shouldn't be that shocking when you consider many of the comments you see coming out of Trumpsters.

It puzzles me when people say racism doesn't really exist in this country. I grew up in Texas and La, and it was prevalent then. It's prevalent in Florida for sure. It's everywhere, heck you have white nationalists such as @dachuda86 openly spreading their propaganda right here in D&D.

So no, 63 million Trump supporters are not deplorables. I know a lot of them that are not. But I'd say at least 25% are.

Trump just said if Biden is elected, Texas would lose 7 million jobs!

That seems like a lot. Not sure I totally believe that.

Trump seems very angry about something.

Actually, he seems angry about everything.

That is about 50% of the working population. That would be an unemployment rate greater than the great depression.

Omg. These next 4 1/2 years are going to unbearable. No matter who wins Trump or Biden. They can’t talk while being in their late 70’s now and 80’s by the end of it. I’m going to have to ween myself off politics.

I’m not saying which is worse or better in regards to other things. Only referring to the extremely difficult task of... talking. By 2024 neither one will be able to make any damn sense.

It's tough to get the exact makeup but it's probably 63 million minus x where x is less than 15 million.

The problem with the this comment vs that comment argument is that it ignores the context. Joe Biden was vice president to the only black president in American history. The notion that he's a racist is completely absurd whereas the current President has a long history of racism and continues to double down on it on a seemingly daily basis. The notion that he is not a racist is also completely absurd.

Context matters and this is why Democrats who say dumb things about race often times get a pass from liberals. The track record matters. If Republicans want to get the same deference then they can earn it by supporting legislation that helps those communities as opposed to targeting them.
