evangelicals, yes, they have been vocal too, but mostly for intellectual diversity and freedom of belief/values reasons. The subject long predates whatever it is you're labeling the "Devos clan." here's a link to an article that summarizes black involvement in the issue going back to the 80s, maybe even earlier: School Choice and the Standpoint of African American Mothers: Considering the Power of Positionality Camille Wilson Cooper The Journal of Negro Education Vol. 74, No. 2 (Spring, 2005), pp. 174-189 (16 pages) https://www.jstor.org/stable/40034542 not sure how I could get a pdf of this or similar articles to you, but at any rate I will gently disagree with your claim that "This simply not true."
Did I say that no black people were advocates of vouchers? You lied and said inner city and urban blacks where the most vocal supporters, that is simply not true. I am not against vouchers per say I just don't think they are a cure all and certainly not what Devos is advocating. So you want to actually address what I posted originally?
once again it is virtually impossible to have any kind of dialogue with you without your accusations of lying, name calling, character assassination, etc.
The cops get arrested, tried and charged as well. Ignoring the greater problem is the more grievous sin in my book and the parents of the recent rash of young victims agree. I see reports in beleaguered neighbourhoods asking for more cops- not what the "defund the cops" brigade wants to hear. The dog barking up the wrong tree is the apt analogy in your case.
They don't ignore the problem. You just don't agree with their solutions that can often delve into socialism/Marxism.
What is impossible about this dialogue? It was a lie, why does using that word cause you to just shut down? I did not call you a lier just that statement. If I am wrong please set me straight, I have no issue with a mea culpa. What's impossible is to take you serious when you think because 1 person wrote a book that proves your point. I really can't believe you went with clutching your pearls because I called that statement a lie.
you realize that when you specifically say "you lied" that is not the same as saying "that statement is a lie" or "that statement is incorrect"? when you say "you lied" you are calling someone a liar. You are not saying "I think you are mistaken" or "I think you should consider this alternative way of looking at things." You are calling me a liar.
So you are not gonna back up your initial false statement and drill down on the use of the word lie. The reason why I did not say you are mistaken is because you are smarter than to think the statement was true, and it also seems that this is one of the actual topics you care about, so you know it was a lie. It is what it is, you can go ahead your pearl clutching.
I have no idea what your shortcomings are but your posting history suggests you have harsh opinions for the BLM movement and don't grasp what MOST are striving for.
I have a pretty good grasp of BLM and my criticisms are valid. Btw, I, like you, do not appreciate being patronized. And your little entourage should appreciate that sentiment.
Obama wanted to slap a b****. I bet he needed a cigarette right after that. But no president has ever been treated as bad a Trump.
https://nowthisnews.com/videos/poli...ctivist-speaks-at-pro-trump-rally?jwsource=cl Just watch it, and think again. Watch all the way to the end.
From your posting, I see your short coming as your unwillingness to to listen and your sensitive nature - can’t handle the slightly and very gentle suggestion to listen to other perspective.
