Please describe a favorite Astros moment, game, play etc as boringly as you can. __________ McCullers predictably throws yet another curveball to Yankee batters. __________ Inexplicably, the game didn't end for several hours after Brad Ausmus came up to the plate in the 9th with the Astros behind.
It appears that some trash is falling on the field as Altuve leisurely jogs around the bases and and it's awfully loud.
Charlie Morton throws a pitch to the left-handed batter. Batter hits a ground ball to the 2nd baseman. 2nd baseman throws the ball to the 1st baseman, who touches the bag with his foot. Runner is out. Everyone claps their hands and smiles. End of season.
I was attending one of the games and had plans to celebrate Columbus day with discovering new places and hopefully embarking on a genocide of a fanbase from the north as soon as the night game let out. Well, that game didnt cooperate, and so, we were left there, in that stadium, long into the night, until one Carlos Correa decided to hit a ball. Not very far, just far enough, cause, well, he just doesnt hit balls very far. The game was finally concluded and I was finally able to celebrate the night, the night of Columbus. I kept shouting to him thank you, but it appeared he couldnt hear me very well. He kept putting one hand to his ear in my direction. I hope to this day he knows I thank him for his efforts on letting me and my pals celebrate Columbus day that evening. The game almost got in the way of that.
Some random first baseman comes off the bench after being injured for a while and won a game or something by singling to right field.
Flyball to center... Astros win the pennant. (in fact, I think this was the actual Joe Buck call of the game...)
1 run lead in the 5th, slow ground ball to 3rd, pretty good throw to the plate...and he's out That game?
