Even if what you claim is 1000% accurate, who cares? I don’t need Native American perspective to be ashamed of a pro NFL team continuing to use an obviously racist name. I don’t need to be black to be absolutely disgusted by a confederate monument in front of my town’s courthouse. Many of us know what’s right and what’s wrong, unlike you. If no native Americans existed anymore I’d still want the name changed

It’s hard for some people to understand that not everyone is perpetually offended.

As a Native American, I am offended.

But more offended by the cartoon caricaturization of Native Americans, eg:

After all, why not use these logos? What, are they not respectful, admiring the best traits of a group of people?

    Or these?

I think it’s probably less about who is offended and more about consistency and wanting a society where an ethnic background is not a silly sports mascot.

How about Washington Wheat Thins? Good cross-marketing potential and healthier stadium fare.

Right. Turning a group of people into a mascot while representing them according to the color of their skin is just indecent. There is no good argument for retaining such a name.

There is no good argument for retaining a racial slur of a subjugated and murdered people as a corporate name for the people that did the subjugating and murderin.

Agreed... while the team name "Indians" isn't as offensive I was still appreciative of Stanford changing to Cardinal. And again less offended by college teams named after individual tribes. But "redskins" has always been a derogatory term (in the summer my skin color goes a deeper dark reddish color to go along with my cheekbones and nose, and grew up with lots of nicknames like "Chief").

I like the names Senators, Nationals, and Generals. Or how about the Americans. Could change the colors to red, white and blue, use a star theme on the logo.
