I think this is an awesome pickup. His presence alone is an upgrade. I can see him bolstering our defense, it almost feels like this was meant to be. He knows the system and a couple 3 balls is going to put us in serious contention, wait and see.
indeed, he played good defense against kawhi in the post. didn't need to double. he was good for ten minutes. he was good in certain matchups for sure.
Not expecting much from him, hasn't been really playable since two years ago. Glad to have him back though.
Luc is only 33. He's always been a true pro's pro, so he'll be in shape and likely as healthy as he's been in years. He's familiar with our system and defensive skills are much easier to translate to the court when you haven't been playing. His defensive versatility and ability to hit the 3, will make us that more dangerous small ball team. Add his personality and demeanor to this team, and that just seems like a perfect addition. Pieces falling in place for something special to end my COVID-19 blues.
Before we get our hopes up too high, keep in mind that Luc turns 34 in September and in the last two calendar years has played a grand total of 13 NBA games. Maybe all that rest did him some good, but I don't see him contributing much more than scattered minutes.
If he can still play defense and hit enough 3's to keep teams from doubling Westbrook, he is a good pick up. I hope he's been shooting in the gym.
My body was not ready for this!!!! I just love he’s on the team, people need to keep their negativity in other threads, keep it out of this one. For the love of prince Luc
It still kills me he got injured when he did in 2018. He was a very key player that nobody knew about outside of Houston. His defense was truly outstanding. I don't know if he's healthy or if he has anything left in the tank, but as a Sefolosha replacement, this is great news.
