Fighting for what though? Conservatives have seemed to lost sight of what exactly they are for anymore. Trump has convinced Conservatives that he is Gandalf standing on the bridge of Khazad-Dum but considered what has Trump done, especially recently for Conservatives? He's gotten a big tax cut and some judges, which are important, but have more to do with McConnell. The Republican Congress wouldn't even fund his wall, he had to take money from the military to build it, he's turned his back on US alliances that Republican presidents helped to build, while fighting a trade war that Republicans have long opposed, and to top it off he's also put in the same amount of gun control that Obama did, along with criminal justice reform that was passed with Democrats. He's spent far more time aggrandizing and defending himself than he has on actual conservative issues.

Also this Barr / Durham report is starting to sound a lot like the Conservative (or should I say Trumpist) Waiting for Godot.. A lot of people were mocking the build up to the Mueller report but now are waiting the Durham Report as though it will set everything right and exonerate Trump and his cronies while exposing his enemies.

If Trump/Barr/Durham bring the charges, I'll consider that a win. Most American's would if they are serious about rooting out the type of corruption we are talking about, AND if they prove it. Last part is the most important.
I do wish there was someone else running. The guy is so flawed it's indisputable. And he's polarized the nation with his rhetoric. But I don't see anyone else stating the obvious - that MSM is bought and paid for. Surely, an objective person on the left would agree. When 6 people own all of the MSM outlets that's a problem. They control the narrative. They control the casual observer who flips on the TV. And they are in bed with our common enemy, China. It's important to them that business goes on with China.

It's not about exposing HIS enemies. It's about exposing OUR enemies.

My guess, this was put in intelligence briefings to him, but (as we've heard from multiple sources now), Trump spends those entire briefings talking about himself and barely paying attention. So, the heads of the national intelligence agencies, the DoD, and the other adults went ahead and made the changes without worrying about Trump...luckily, there's still good leaders in some of those non-political appointed positions that are very capable.

This leak was definitely put out there to make Trump look bad...and it's working. It's not just that he doesn't really care about the troops, but the fact that he really isn't leading or making decisions about anything. Instead, the country is basically having to run itself while the idiot-in-chief talks and yells and takes credit for anything good that happens, even though he has close to zero impact on why it turned out good.

He's a figurehead and a terrible one at that.

Conservatives once argued against situational ethics but you're engaging in situational ethic right here. That you can't see anyone else basically shows how much you've bought into Trump. Nearly all of the self-declared Conservatives have kowtowed to Trump because supporters have bought into the same argument that you have.

Also again believing that the MSM is more in bed with the PRC than Trump. Remember Trump lifted sanctions on Chinese Telecoms even though they were selling US technology illegally. Trump also praised XI's response to COVID-19 even as recently as March. Trump's trade war has been a total failure.
