I dont know what the tweet is supposed to mean about Ratcliffe lying. His statement was Saturday and hasn't changed

My guess is if he is telling the truth then intelligence may not have briefed the White House because it may not have been sure about the accusation.

There is an easy way to expedite getting to the truth. NYTs sources should give a date of the alleged briefing

Well now we know what the White House would not approve being included in John Bolton's book. This is insanely bad, and every spin the White House tries to take to make them look better, ends up making everyone there (Trump especially) that much worse.

My guess is it was included in the briefing notes, and might have been brought up in some way, but my guess is when briefed those White House NSA officials purposefully hid this from Trump for fear that he would go to Putin and reveal sources and methods that actually would put our troops more in harms way.

 

Otherwise no one would want to end these super popular decades long foreign wars.

This makes no sense. The timeline is off. The CIA supposedly was only suspicious in 2019 when a Taliban fighter was found with $500,000

 

I think the papers of record now just set this **** up.

1: basic story with solid reporting.
2: wait for lame WH attempts at denial, obfuscation.
3: wait a cycle, for 2 to mutate into something even more pathetic that contradicts 2.
4: release more detailed reporting about 1, throwing the brightest light on the dishonesty of 2 & 3.
