    If Trump drops out, Pence is the nominee. I would be shocked if they replaced the entire ticket.

    I wish trump would drop pence for someone more exciting at this point. Someone like tim scott or nikki haley.

    It's unlikely given how loyal Pence has been to him - exactly the kind of man Trump likes. Never protests and always does what Trump commands.

    If Trump dropped out, the RNC would have to have the delegates vote on the replacement and it's just hard to see anyone but Pence winning that vote given he is the VP.

    I don't think Scott or Haley can be a presidential nominee due to their race - a lot of white supremacists who voted for Trump would never vote in a minority over a white guy for President. While it might win back some moderates, I don't think it would overcome the racial element that Trump has leaned on so much as a populist.

    The soul of the GOP is the alt-right and the heart doesn't seem to mind so much. And the mind has left the party.
