If it took Trump for you to realize this, this helps explain how we have been given 3 very poor choices of leaders for the last decade.

So much for the 'if you're not for us, you're against us' mentality.

Trump's sole redeeming virtue is in creating safe spaces for others to beclown themselves.

Klobuchar withdraws from consideration for VP. I think it is going to be Kamala "Kneepads" Harris. She was the original Democratic establishment pick for President before her completely bungled, unprofessional, mismanaged campaign laid an egg. The media did their best to prop her up, but it was too heavy a lift.

She lacks political instincts, made a fool of herself during the Kavanaugh smear campaign, and basically slept her way to prominence.

I saw Amy Khlobachar is officially not in the running anymore. I think that’s a good call. I think it’s gotta be someone who spreads across the party a bit more. If he’s going to stay ideologically close I think Susan Rice would be the pick. If he wants to really pull in progressives and be super aggressive with reforms I think Warren is the best pick. Stacy Abrams of course is right there maybe a bigger upswing candidate.

Either of those three I think are good picks. I don’t think Kamala would be wise if there really is that much animosity towards her on the left. Gotta keep the party unified most importantly. Khlobachar would have split off the Bernie folks and Kamala might as well to a lesser extent.

Biden Adds Congressional Black Caucus’s Karen Bass to VP List

Representative Karen Bass, chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, is being vetted by Joe Biden’s vice presidential search team, a person familiar with the process said.

Bass has represented parts of Los Angeles in the U.S. House for a decade and has led the Black caucus since last year. She is a later addition to the pool of candidates that Biden is considering to be his running mate, a sign that he’d like more options to consider in a process that he and his campaign have said will likely come in August.

The congresswoman has more experience in the government than many of the other contenders, including
first-term California Senator Kamala Harris, former national security adviser Susan Rice and second-term Florida Representative Val Demings.
Second-term Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham are also still in the mix.

But Bass also has a much lower national profile than Harris and Warren, as well as other women whom Biden is considering. She also has not had the media scrutiny and public vetting that Harris and Warren faced during their own bids for the 2020 Democratic nomination. Before she became a lawmaker, she had a career in the healthcare industry

I think Biden is making a mistake not picking Stacey Abrams. She may look like Tracy Morgan but she is a political dynamo.

He is smart waiting as long as possible...... the direction of the wind could change or something negative about one of these candidates could be learned.

Right now he needs to just smile, wave, release sound bites and work on strengthening relationships in states and voting blocs he needs to win.

Just do this for the next 60-90 days..... maybe make a joke about corn pop and hug some biracial kids.

Obama has no interest...... neither of them do.

There are a number of very qualified women democrats currently in office to choose from.

I do not get the strong appeal of Keisha Lance Bottoms. I can see supporting her for another office..... but VP?

What about Michelle or Hillary? Any chance that happens?

As an outsider on this: I'd prefer Susan Rice because of her experience. Harris is a natural choice, but she and I don't get along. If Biden wins and Harris is the VP, that's just karma coming back on me. But I fully expect the VP to take over as POTUS during the 4 year term.

what the hell am I saying here??? Trump wins in a landslide Silent Majority!!! :D

They could be. I think people are allowed to say anything they want on Parler. Something about freedom of speech... It's really not a safe place and I don't recommend it for this crowd.

good one. but I think if he selected Abrams he'd lose support from folks who just don't see her as potential President (yet).

It’s important that Biden is aware of who Trump voters would like him to choose as his VP.

Agreed. Abrams has potential, but she'd be a heartbeat away from the presidency and she just doesn't have the experience to backup being in that role. I hope Biden gives her a cabinet position, but VP is too much right now.

Honestly, same goes for the Atlanta mayor...going from a city leader to a heartbeat away is a huge step. Need to start pushing her for a state rep, governor, or Senate position in Georgia while she's hot.

I worry about Warren...picking her would be an interesting choice, but it also may cost Biden the Senate early on since a Republican governor would be picking her replacement. If the Senate ends up 50-50 and Warren gets replaced, Biden's going to have a tough first few months which could derail his presidency.

Harris, on paper, looks great, but man, she rubs a lot of people the wrong way...she might be the most qualified for the position behind Warren, but she should be doing better than she is.

Which basically leaves Demings...who I have no problem with. She actually seems like a pretty safe choice and should appease a lot of the Dem base.
