The 2005 World Series deserves an asterisk more than 2017... We had the Yankee juicers in our rotation.

This title will be more tainted than the Spurs one in the lockout season.

    Its not the NBA playoffs.

It's the rich grown men version of parents approving their kids to sneak out at midnight to play some pick up games.

I agree that this is an asterisk title, if ever there was one. They might as well go with all-star game rules and throw in a 4-pointer while they are at it.

Yep. This is why I thought they should have done a March Madness style tournament. All teams come back and play 3-4 games to get some on court play in, then have a double elimination tourney. It could have been short and sweet, instead drawn out for 4 months when guys have other priorities.

funny how pretty much every year people want to say asterisk this asterisk that. then when its all said and done it doesn't really matter and nobody really cares. To all the people that actually matter, that banner and trophy is there forever and is celebrated as such. By all means those who want to sulk can continue to do so. Leaves more room for everyone else

If we win this one, Houston can officially be called Asterisk City.

If it keeps the league alive and entertains some quarantined people, things could be worse...

I'll take a "tainted" title over no title.

I don't really consider the Spurs' 1999 title 'tainted' anyway. What other more deserving team from 1999 should have won instead? That was a damn good Spurs team, featuring a front line of Duncan and Robinson, both in close to top form. In 1999, the Bulls were dead, the Rockets were over the hill and cursed with Pippen. The Lakers hadn't figured it out yet. The Spurs were deserving champions.

It's not like the Spurs were some fluke. They only went on to win 4 more titles after that.

If Lebron wins this championship it won't be tainted. A chip good enough for Lebron is good enough for me.

So? This is to be expected. That's why there is a quarantine BEFORE it even begins. Every single player will be tested and more that get it now the better. Let them get it over with. I hope they are testing antibodies as well.

Also you're right they aren't even in Florida yet, so not being in the bubble isn't any safer. Sitting out isn't going to keep them from getting it. Not only that but it also isn't going to be any better if they cancel this season and wait until October for next season.

Clutchfans is not talking about Avery Bradley not going to Orlando. I know there have been some other players not reporting, but Bradley is the only one on a Championship level team. It's his right to not report, but I don't think he will ever be trusted again. I think a Shadow ban is coming for Bradley like that one dude from the Bulls in the 90's.

    Lebron be like...

Good for Avery. There is more to life than basketball, particularly life itself, considering it is going to be in Florida, where Corona is going wild right now.

Besides, Avery is a smart man. He knows this championship will be tainted anyways, so why even risk it?

I guess we need to just see how competitive this ends up being. Right now, it feels like a summer league tournament. Should be entertaining in any case, but the stakes don’t seem to be the same.

People talk about asterisks, but in reality, noone remembers that ****. They only remember how many times in total a team has won it all.

People surely remember ours (without Jordan) and the Spurs'.

It's kind of odd that they don't remember LeBron's in 2011. Hmm...

they already said if players started to catch the virus during the re open season they gonna shut it down for the season for good. Health is more important than the season says the nba.
