Chicago Mayor misinterprets anti mayor and anti police meme as racist

Chicago has deep rooted crime issues. Gang violence. Another thing black people have to be honest about.

That being said four years ago they were on pace for the most in 20 years. Over 700 murders. So as bad as it might be now its still improved from recent years

I live in Chicago. I lived in the most dangerous neighborhood in Chicago for several years before marrying my wife. It was statistically 99.6% black.

Race relations in Chicago are terrible. Race relations in the Midwest are horrible and incredibly segregated. The city of Chicago is extremely segregated.

All the black people live in 6-7 neighborhoods in Chicago and they are routinely in the top 10 most dangerous in the city. The other 3 in the top 10 are Hispanic neighborhoods.

Other than a handful of neighborhoods, the remaining non-black/non-Hispanic neighborhoods are 80-90% white with Asians making up the rest.

Houston and Texas in general is far less segregated than Chicago and the Midwest.

The violence in Chicago is limited to a handful of neighborhoods but the violence in those neighborhoods is something that Houston cannot touch. The only reason the murder rate isn’t higher is that the ER hospitals and paramedics by these neighborhoods are extremely good at treating gunshot wounds.

 

I did not vote for the mayor in Chicago. I doubt I will vote for her next time.

However she has almost no responsibility for the current violent crime rate in Chicago. The problems are institutional and the 15-20 year olds shooting people were a byproduct of prior mayors.

The Chicago teachers union can eat a dick. They do not care about the children. They care about how much money the teachers make. The quality of education in inner city Chicago is horrendous yet the teachers union is constantly complaining.

What is worse than the Chicago teachers union? The Chicago Police Union. All they do is protect the corrupt and racist officers that permeate the Chicago Police Department. The level of entitlement by the CPD is disgusting. They regularly are caught doing corrupt and illegal things and the Chief and Union hide it. The police are notorious for letting some shooting victims bleed out. They also have zero desire to solve homicides as 95% of them are poor black or Hispanic gang members or pedestrians caught in the crossfire.

 

I doubt it. It would be very Trumpian of her, but this would be a case of the diversion before worse than the real issue.
