You used to live in a rough side of town bro! My older sister a lifelong Houstonian had a house in Inwood North off of Antoine and Maywood Forest Dr. Her kids(they’re grown now) went to Eisenhower High. When you see burglar bars on every house, you know it’s a real deal.
oh no...I'm much older. It was early 70's. My grandparents lived there till they passed though. The area was pretty rough but they lived there most of my life without incident except for the flooding.
How mighty white of you! Doctors usually do those because Ego (makes them look good to peers) and it will eventually benefit them. Doesn't mean you are not a bigot. The point you won't acknowledge the systemic racism in America, especially since you would have interacted with people who are victims of that racism, shows me the type of person you are.

And what happens when they're out of jail in 2 or 3 years, and commit more crimes they blame on their time in prison? Violent criminals who get out as youth are more than 50% likely to repeat . It's mentally lazy to pat yourself on the back for putting them in jail for a couple years and thinking you've solved the problem.

I've never confronted a white person on their using of the N-Word (a few have used it in reference to "other" black people) because they would always say "Oh, you are not one of them....the "bad" blacks". I would just give them a look and they knew. It is not worth it...most of the time...to engage people's ignorance. The problem I have with you is refusal to acknowledge systemic racism. I don't live my life looking at their skin color to determine how to interact with someone. I treat everyone the same until they give me a reason. You have given me a reason.
