white privilege is not bullshit. I don't agree with the dude in general.

but if we fail to acknowledge the huge economic component of American divisions, whatever progress we try to make will be partial at best. IMHO.

I've said it before: one reason Trumpism caught on is liberals were (and still are) telling rural poor whites to acknowledge their privilege when they work 3 part-time jobs, try to keep relatives off meth, and watch other relatives going bankrupt over dialysis treatments. It's pretty damned bleak for a lot of people and it doesn't feel like privilege. (Even though, in truth, poor whites aren't getting hassled and beat down by the police in the same per capita way. And they could get a loan more easily, if that were even possible, and so on.)

Actually Shannon has always been an activist. The reason Skip wanted shannon as his co host was his work ethic. There are no writers for the show(although they have statisticians that help them) It is why I like shannon sharpe. He is as Genuine as it gets. Look at his twitter. I respect shannon more than any sports pundits out there

I disagree with liberals telling poor whites to acknowledge their privilege, what I will say is that liberals got over their skis by championing each and every liberal cause issue and took their eye off of things actually happening to poor whites.

I also agree that the Dems pushed the white privilege issue too much and did not realize how much pushback that would cause because nobody likes to be made to feel guilty.

Trump used all of that for his advantage and spoke to those that felt forgotten and aggrieved.

So he made an error I guess everything he does and stands for doesn’t matter. His message and activism outweighs any ignorance he has of Clyde Drexler.

Yes anyone who doesn’t respect Clutch City and gets paid millions to talk sports
    Doesn’t get my respect

you aren’t changing my mind. And yes there are writers and statisticians who give them notes and facts to reference

As for this site, if someone doesn’t respect Clutch City
I don’t care if it was god

Oh I forgot Shannon won a super bowl ring
But I remember Vince Lombardi like it was yesterday

There's the other half where if the media is hyping up privilege and they're getting in line for the same subsistence entitlements as all the other minorities, then ofc they'll jump onto whatever Trump is promising and winking.

"Good ol days" is a bygone era they might never have lived in (because they were busy working hard for their survival) but grew up aspiring to from watching tv.

    Figures...

Class inequality is the core issue, but there are many jarring dissimilarities beyond race that divide us. From blue collar vs white collar to city slicker vs. townfolk. There are people who frequent churches and its community events, go to Olive Garden or Red Lobster for their night out, come from a large family and still mainly watch tv as entertainment.

Compare that to someone who has never worked in a factory or warehouse, has one sibling or is only child, doesn't know how to repair their car let alone do an oil change, does not frequent fast food chains but rather delivery for convenience, buys their coffee at 5 bucks a pop, has attended/will send to a private or far away charter school, and has a social media feed(s) that isn't Facebook.

These are cultural identifiers we all implicitly carry and have mostly stayed within our solid lanes because crossing them makes us feel uncomfortable or look bad amongst our peers. In the cities, at least...

Same class stratum, yet we'll probably strangle each other first than work together and put forth leadership we can agree upon.

I don't agree this should be equated to systematic racism a lot of shootings come from a power dynamic as well a racism.

Institutional racism (also known as systemic racism) is a form of racism expressed in the practice of social and political institutions. It can lead to such issues as discrimination in criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power and education, among other issues.

This is what I think it is.
