Obviously some folks knew and wanted to remove the statue.

 

The real story here has nothing to do with the statue. The story is that nutjobs with guns think they have a green light from our dipshit-in-chief to shoot people.

 

True saving the statue of a cruel and enslaving despot is not grounds for using deadly force.

What about the government taking your assault weapons if a ban passed the house and senate?

 

Well right now there are 400,000,000 civilian held firearms in the USA or half of all civilian held firearms in the entire world.

Something horrible is going to happen.

 

Jeez I’d guess they would have to find them,...out of my cold dead hands lol, well of course I would be a law abiding citizen and abide by all legal rulings..I might be disgruntled and have to burn down a Starbucks to peacefully protest

 

And these riots just guaranteed more people will buy guns, violence begets more violence..I love it ..Antifa threats , etc

 

No question more and more guns will be bought in the USA until the laws are changed.

Right now there is 1.25 civilian owned guns per citizen..... won't be long before it is 1.5.

At some point something horrific and large in scale will happen with those numbers.

Outlawing guns isn't the answer but there needs to be some moderation.... we have an incredible amount of gun violence compared to any other industrialized nation and it correlates to an incredibly high number of guns.

 

So you would fight the government if they came for your guns legally?

 

I think certain high powered riffles should be banned. They were before. I also think each person needs a license to safely operate a gun. By license I mean safety course on how to operate a firearm. Also need extensive background checks with no loop holes like second hand private selling you see to often at gun shows etc. I think people need to be required to have liability insurance. Owning guns should come with responsibility.
