There's no other logical explanation other than suicide. No one will passively go along with a lynching. Even if someone has a gun pointed at you, you're going to fight before putting your head willingly into a noose.

Unless they were drugged then hanged. Otherwise, like you said, there would be signs of a struggle.

I think what you meant to say is "there's no other logical explanation other than 5 suicides in 1 week, all by hanging in public from trees, all Black or brown." To which I beg to differ. There are many more logical explanations.

I've only seen four but there was a tweet I came across of someone claiming five. I haven't found the 5th and I don't believe these four were in the span of a week either.

-black trans woman in Portland on May 27th
-Malcolm Harsch in Victorville on May 31st
-unidentified man in Fort Tryon Park in NY on June 9th
-Robert Fuller in Palmdale on June 10th

there isn’t a 5th AFAIK...people were originally saying that the man found hung from a tree today in Houston was black, but he was actually Mexican

With over 300,000,000 people in the USA I have learned people are capable of some very odd things. The area I lived in before we moved was a wooded and very affluent township in the Chicagoland area. In this township, there are a number of private schools, churches and lots of beautiful forest preserves.

A relatively young teacher at one of the schools did not return to teach her class after lunch. Everyone was immediately notified. The school shut down for the day. The police were called. No one ever went missing here. They couldn’t find her that night. Her mother and husband and child were all set to take her to dinner for her birthday that night. The police found her with her throat cut and a stab wound in her chest... dead in the woods about a half mile in.

The immediate response was who murdered her. Two days later they released a statement that surveillance cameras pieced together showed she happily walked from the school across the street to Target where she bought a kitchen knife and a coke. She then drank the coke and walked a half mile to the forest, disappeared into the forest and stabbed herself in the chest and then cut her own throat.

No history of mental illness. Earlier told her best friend and colleagues she was excited for her birthday and upcoming trip. No issues at home. Just decided to kill herself in a terribly painful way out of the blue.

I agree it needs to be investigated by the FBI. Local authorities have proven they cannot be trusted. Look no further than the “autopsy” in the Floyd case. The family had to get the top medical examiner in the world to conduct his own examination and reach the obvious conclusion that the man was murdered.

Tony Dungy’s son hung himself in his apartment while he was alone...that is completely different from a black man hanging himself from a tree in a public area

every black person that is at the age of the deceased in these recent instances knows of the history of lynching in this country with African Americans being hung from trees...a black person choosing to kill themself in that manner is extremely hard to believe

Coordinated. There's no way these are all suicide. It's made to look like a suicide. And at the same time a message is being sent. I'm sure you could hang them nearby and then sling them over a tree.

According to the Victor Valley News, firefighters found Harsch’s body hanging from a tree outside the Victorville City Library around 7 a.m. on May 31. “There were no indications at the scene that suggested foul play; however, the cause and manner of death are still pending,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller told the outlet, adding that the investigation remains open.

Still, Harsch’s family members — most of whom live in Ohio — told the VVN in a statement that they “are concerned that his death will be labeled as a suicide, as this is what was communicated to us upon confirmation of his death.” They say the sheriff’s deputy who called to inform them of Harsch’s death on June 1 said Harsch hanged himself with a USB cable, which they found implausible, considering his “six-foot-three-inches-long body wasn’t even dangling from the tree.” The deputy asked about Harsch’s drug and alcohol use, the family said, and also “made a statement about how the coronavirus has ‘hit people really hard.’”

Further, the family’s statement said, Harsch was found with blood on his shirt, although investigators reported no signs of a struggle and no open wounds.

“[We] feel that our brother’s death will be waved off as a suicide to avoid any further media attention,” they continued. “Malcolm had very recent conversations with his children about seeing them soon. He didn’t seem to be depressed to anyone who truly knew him. EVERYONE who knew our brother was shocked to hear that he allegedly hung himself and don’t believe it to be true as well as the people who were there when his body was discovered … There are many ways to die but considering the current racial tension, a black man hanging himself from a tree definitely doesn’t sit well with us right now. We want justice not comfortable excuses.”

Around 3:39 a.m. on June 10, a passerby saw Fuller’s body in a tree at the edge of Poncitlán Square, a courtyard outside Palmdale City Hall. According to the Daily Beast, homicide investigators reported that his body showed “no signs of a struggle,” and both the city and the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office initially pointed to suicide. “Sadly, it is not the first such incident since the COVID-19 pandemic began,” read an early statement from city officials, according to the Daily Beast.

But Fuller’s family and loved ones do not believe he killed himself. One of his friends from high school, Tommie Anderson, told the Los Angeles Times that the tree where Fuller was found was too thin to have supported his weight for very long, and he was too tall for his body to have dangled from its lower branches. Anderson, who also expressed skepticism that Fuller would’ve been out that late, said, “For people to say he did this, this wasn’t Robert. For him to tie himself to that tree, it’s not possible.”

Fuller’s sister, Diamond Alexander, said she did not believe that Fuller — who had attended a Black Lives Matter protest a few days before he died — hanged himself. “My brother was a survivor,” she told the Times. “We want to find out the truth of what really happened. Everything that they’ve been telling us has not been right.”

Officials say there are no security cameras in the park where Fuller was found that could provide more information on what happened. For some, that claim strains credulity, given the tree’s proximity to City Hall.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, Southern California — and San Bernardino County in particular — has seen a large spike in white-supremacist activity in recent years. Neo-Nazi groups have been active in Antelope Valley for decades, and in 2007, KKK flyers depicting Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton hanging from trees were distributed in Palmdale, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, elected officials in Palmdale conspired for years with the L.A. Housing Authority to push out low-income black families using harassment and bullying tactics, pointing to a pattern of race-based discrimination in the area.

That Fuller and Harsch’s deaths came amid weeks of national protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, combined with the location of the bodies — both in front of municipal buildings — has led many to believe that both men were lynched. On Saturday, thousands gathered in Palmdale to demand a full investigation into Fuller’s death.

On Saturday, Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger formally requested that California Attorney General Xavier Becerra “lend additional expertise and oversight into this important investigation and provide the community with the answers they deserve” by opening an independent investigation into Fuller’s death. The City of Palmdale also released a statement saying it “is officially supporting the call for an independent investigation and an independent autopsy of Mr. Fuller,” and that officials are “joining the family and the community’s call for justice.”

“We do support a full investigation into his death,” it continues. “We will settle for nothing less than a thorough accounting of this matter.”

I do not trust the cops. Cops will tell u a 75 yo “tripped and fell” even with video showing he was pushed. This many black people choosing to commit suicide in this manner in the span of about 2 weeks?

This smacks of KKK and white nationalists. They are not going to sit there and see BLM, protests, calls to defund the police, and white football stars like JJ Watt, Drew Brees support BLM or sat they will kneel, NASCAR banning confederate flag. You’ve got deranged Karen’s running around out there, and trump supporters re enacting the Floyd murder. You better bet these people see that the pendulum has swung and is a existential threat to their thinking and way of life.

The power of suggestion or hypnosis is remarkable. The best people emptied their bank accounts for total strangers. What if they were offered free psychic readings or shown a trick on the spot... To most people, being amused for free is too good pass up. A diabolical way to kill and very possible.

I don't want to downplay or trivialize the white supremacy murder hypothesis, but as far as suicides go . . . my wife has had to do a lot of work involving suicides where we work from people jumping off bridges into the local gorges. She's done a lot of research on the topic and has shared much of her research with me because of what I also do for a living.

Research on suicides show that suicides can be "contagious"--either geographically or temporally. Which is to say that suicides quite commonly appear as clusters, or as what statisticians might classify as anomalies. Thus four or five deaths occurring over a month's time period by similar means, even in different locations, are not impossible to understand as suicides.

The "unlikely" statistical probability of the clustering has also probably been greatly enhanced by social conditions, i.e., the past three months' worth of lockdown depression and widespread anxieties over racial tensions.

    No . .it really isn't

Police have wasted alot of good will over the years
what is happening now is reaping the results. . . no one believes you anymore
the amount of proof required is much higher now

When government institutions lose their credibility, this is what happens...... and unless that credibility is restored so that enough people are satisfied, this will only get worse.

This is also why in the past I have said it is not "funny" when the President repeatedly lies, or the Justice Department obviously acts as a surrogate of the President. When corruption is so obvious and rampant, people lose trust.

Police brutality is not something that started with the President, it has been an issue for 150 years. However, the President is like a lit match....... couple that with the availability of media, the ability of citizens to record information like the Floyd murder, and you have a lot of angry people...... having the wealth inequality rising isn't helping either.

The veneer of society is very fragile. In the past the white power structure could somewhat control black folks through prison, systemic racism and segregation. Now that a large number of white people are more aware (or willing to be aware) of what is happening, and are experiencing the squeeze as well financially and otherwise...... the whole system can topple if the government is careless.

I meant it when I said on May 31, it is healthy for elected officials and the power structure to be a little scared of the people and to realize that the worst case scenario isn't retiring with a fat pension and serving on a corporate board...... the worst case scenario is prison or fleeing an angry mob.

So when President Trump or William Barr stand up there and peddle straight bull ****........ or when Lindsay Graham or Mitch McConnell look smug they need to hear a little voice in the back of their head saying "there are consequences"..... Same goes for Nancy Pelosi when she decides to hold theatre..... remember, you are there at the whim of the people.
